(First thing - tag your posts - grin)

I've been getting more and more convinced that she's not "exploding" but it's more likely that something inside her bursts out, ala the famous "Alien" scene where it busts out of the guy's chest.

HOWEVER

One thing makes me think that the shadows could be playing tricks. It's the photo below.

shocked rob, girl and two hazmats

Are people seeing Rob and company in this picture moving forward into the light source as she bleeds out (or something worse) and casting a shadow on the dividing sheet? It sure looks like something bursts out of her but the fact it's a shadow is tricky...

Based on the new trailer, I have no doubt that her stomach is expanding and that something horrible and disgusting is happening there. Visuals aside, the sound effects directly support that in an unmistakable way.

Let's say she does explode, yet we only experience it through her silhouette. Certainly a clever way to incorporate special effects on a low budget and toy with our imaginations.

I think the most likely scenario is that we are seeing two different women in similar situations. I.e. they're giving us a preview of what's going to be happening to Marlena. Think about it, if people are getting infected and "things" are popping out of them, Marlena probably isn't the only one but there's no reason to suspect it doesn't happen to her based on some of the other pictures...

I don't know whether Marlena is behind the sheet in that one section, but the "Exploding Lena" theory is very clearly revealed in that still photo (dunno where, slashfilm or somewhere...you guys know better than I do) of her bleeding from her eyes and nose and mouth (presumably every orifice, judging from all the blood on her blouse).

So yeah, she either bleeds out or explodes or does an imitation of Ashe from "Alien."

Oh she obviously dies, I'm just saying that couldn't have been her behind the sheet on the trailor based on location.
