Hi guys, long time lurker, 1st time poster.

Take a look at the picture of Rob and Lena in the subway, I think that is the subway. Are the New York Subway Walls always yellow and blue? Isn't that the colors of Jamie's gift?

2nd, take a look at the picture of Rob, Lily, and Lena. Lena's boots are brown in that photo. Then look at the subway picture again. Lena's boots are white there and Rob only has a little "dust" on him. Where was Lena that she would get enough "dust" on her boots that turned them white?

Not sure how these are going to connect to the story but I thought they were worth pointing out.

Be gentle if I did something wrong. Oh by the way, you guys are great!

Hi! Welcome to the forums!
Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't notice it until you said that, but it seems to suggest that maybe a building collapses or something, doesn't it?

Also, they're in the Spring Street subway station - I'm not too familiar w/ NYC subway system, but on google maps it looks like it puts them at one of 2 subway stations.

i live in nyc and have entered the subway station at spring st. a few times... and i don't think that this is actually that station (which is not informative, this is probably much more common in film to use a created subway station set than to actually use the subway entrance that it represents)..

i could be wrong.. they're constantly remodeling, but the walls are generally blandly tiled and the names of the stations written out in that tile down where the trains are.. the turnstiles look right (i.e. are seemingly identical to nyc subways).. the sign and the walls here look wrong, even for the occasionally more colorful nyc subway entrances..

all that being said.. this is meant more to answer the above query than to contribute much to the pot, as I can't think of anyway that determining whether this is a set or an "on location" shot of the spring st. station moves us forward.. other than to say that spring st. is still a heck of a ways downtown from central park (aka cloverfield).. and if they are to eventually get to central park they're either going to need to either (a) have time to walk 60+ blocks north just to get to the southern tip of central park or (b) allow for some willing suspension of disbelief in that central park is somehow near SoHo

I just noticed the blue and yellow slusho colors in the subway. I found that strange, like you cmg, tv shows always show a bland color scheme to subways.
It led me to start thinking of a "Massive" marketing scheme for slusho. And then again it still doesn't answer the question of how the monster and slusho are connected.

Being a daily user of Photoshop (I'm a graphic designer) I believe that the reason this picture is so light is because it was digitally manipulated to "lighten" the picture. I can't see any reason that the lights would have been that bright in there while shooting (But then again I've never been in a real subway either). The lightness of everything she is wearing is comparable when compared to the other picture by the car, not just her boots being "dusty". There are a few "new filters" in PS CS3 called Shadow/Highlight & Exposure that produces results on dark photos similar to the subway picture.
So, I don't think that's dust making her boots look lighter.

Very sharp eyes!

I wish they had a few more photos to share besides just these teaser three?!?!

A few more pictures would be nice! Thanks for the insight on the difference in colors.

I must of missed that link cause the only link I saw contained 3 pictures! I have not seen that picture yet. I am on here all day, how do I keep missing things! Can you provide the link to where you found that picture of Lena being held and Rob in the pic, please.

CapnZ just pointed out something that I (stupidly) missed.. and perhaps a few more of you did..

if you click the link at the top of the article that says "click here for your first look at Cloverfield"... you get linked to a slideshow of 12 images, not just the three that are there.. i totally missed this..
