Hey, at least somebody realizes I'm a genius.
Edit: While we are here in this thread 'picking on' these various 'film expert' sites. how about some of you with IMDB memberships and memberships on other sites where you can comment point out this to those sites still listing Odet Jasmin as having a role...

To you movie sites: Odet Jasmin? Try Odette Yustman, ya morons!

I apologise for my conduct and candor, but I took issue with the suggestion that just because the magazine was published in the UK, that it meant that they had to be lying about getting the trailer exclusively.
My first bit of reasoning is this, America has already had the trailer in cinemas so I don't find it hard to believe that a UK magazine might have been given a copy of the second trailer to balance that out, especially as the limited promotion the film has had seems greater in America then in the UK. It doesn't seem a stretch to believe that they might be given it to generate a greater buzz here.
Furthermore it's EmpireOnline.com , not .co.uk . It was my understanding that Empire is also published in the United States, and as the site is international, it's hardly a British exclusive now, is it? It's certainly not like the new trailer was being distributed on DVDs as an exclusive to the UK version of the magazine, so it's hardly a F.U. to the United States.
And whilst on the subject of that, this is going to be an international film... it shouldn't be expected that every exclusive will be for the US.
Evil, I'm not sure how I was being condescending by defending the magazine and its site.
As for who I am, I have no ties to the magazine other then being a reader of it and being a casual member of its forum.
I did read your post, and I know from the likes of AICN and 1-18-08News that there are sites out there that like to talk big. I don't deny it, but I don't believe that EmpireOnline would have to stoop to that.
However, even though you never said it in so many words, it felt implied that you thought that they were trying to make it sound more impressive...
Still, I believe that with their inaccuracies they have more of a professional standing and professional conduct then Merrick and AICN. And as for the name inaccuracy, if they were using IMDb as their main source and we've seen that the industry does appear to put a lot of faith into IMDb , it's no surprise then if their information is wrong given how dodgy the site that's supposed to have all the official film information is.
Anyway, the British have already had some small exclusives, it was the decompiling of a British version of the trailer that led to some of the audio mysteries being put to rest, and another British film magazine, TotalFilm had a copy of the poster as a free giveaway whilst I haven't noticed any reports of any American magazines having the poster.
I'm also unaware of Empire "ripping off the hard work of some of the posters on unfiction and other fan sites", if you can find an example of that by Empire then of course, post it... but if not then I feel that's anger that's being misdirected in their direction.
Bacon Army, True, it may be weird, but I direct you to my points above about marketing and that EmpireOnline serves an international community even if the magazine is UK based.

IMDb has a lot of mistakes: it's Odette Yustman playing Beth, and Stahl-David (not Mike Vogel) plays Rob, but our requests on the IMDb forum seem to get no reaction...
UPDATE: OK, they changed at least the information about Mike Vogel playing Jason. So I hope, Odette is the next.

I just had a vision of every single poster here at unforums sitting in front of their keyboards, and this Donnie Darko-like montage, music playing in the background, as the camera plays across each of our faces as the disappointment and heartache sets in when we realize that there wont be an HD trailer anytime soon.
