 		[QUES][SPEC]Time of Cloverfield Movie
[QUES][SPEC]
When we saw the weirdly warm temperature in NY in the trailer- i believe we all came to the conclusion the movie wasnt in Real time, and that the accident didnt happen on 1-18-08.

BUT, the problem arises here- Jamie got the present, and was instructed to open it on the 9th- and if she does open it on OUR Dec 9th, that means the movie is in actual real time- which brings up the question again of WHY IS IT THAT WARM IN NEW YORK IN JANUARY??



**I noticed in Tagruato's investment news too that it showed the dates they were posted,so my plan was to see what the dates say on recent posts to answer this question for good-but none of the last posts in Investor news have dates like the others, which is odd.[img][/img][/b]

Well, the film actually does happen on 1-18-08, but that's a good point. There was no snow on the ground or anything when they were running around in the trailer.

 		Look in the first teaser- after they feel the 'earthquake' they're watching the news' NY1' i believe it was, and it said 64 degrees i think.

I wish i knew how to post pics on here. If anyone does please do so. I know the people who have been following this game since early on know about. It was one of the first things noticed.

EDIT: posted a pic- was 63 degrees

 		I live in an area that generally shares the same weather as NYC gets. It's not unheard of to reach 64 in January. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

 		Boston is close enough to NYC, right <<

Weather can fluctuate a bit, oddly high temps in the winter, oddly low in the summer. Its just a part of how things go.

 		Big cities generate their own heat - melting snow soon after it's deposited. But, according to About.com

that would make sense- and since the movie already doesnt have a big bidget-they probably didnt have the money for fake and CGI snow. So they said lets just put a record temp.

Why wouldn JJ just have the movie take place in the summer?

 		What would be freaky is if, in NYC, on Jan.18, it really is 60-odd degrees (and even freakier if it was exactly 63 degrees)

 		OK I'm going out on a limb here, so bear with me (water bear not pun intended but hey ho!) I'm pretty sure JJ would not have let that slip his mind I honestly expect the temperature to be seriously addressed in the movie & could indeed be a part of the problem, in some way.
I mean they couldve easily just had the news report temperature reading a lot lower!

Thats exactly what i'm thinking. He could have still had it normal at around 36 degrees without snow-just had it cold. The characters would have just dressed a little warmer.
