Here, you can see the SoL head right before it hits the 401 sign. They cropped this clip do you don't see the trajectory, but it didn't come through the building as far as I can tell. All they did was clean up the first trailer's clip, IMHO.

I also think it's there, hence the explosion and fighter-plane, but... I just don't think it's visible. At least, not to a point where we can make anything of it.

I actually now think it might be in the explosion now, and the fighter jet dropped a bomb on it.

That's something I considered too... it might actually be enveloped in (or behind) the explosion... I watched it a lot and just couldn't see anything moving. Razz

You think something that could be engulfed in an explosion that small could rip the head off the SoL? I doubt its in there...

Then why would there be a random explosion there? It was either the monster or the fighter jet.

It's a bit easier to make out when it's moving.

From that, it definatly looks like something is pushing through the buildings. Whatever it is though, I dont think its walking.

It looks like it has fins or wings at the top of its head.

The movement strikes me as being odd, somehow. I definitely "read" it as a biped moving forward to the right, but it's almost seems to glide along more than its weight shifts heavily along with its footsteps. Then again, it's a really short clip, so it may just be mid-stride through the instant we actually see it.

If it is a biped, though, it looks EXTREMELY top heavy. Green lines are what I actually see -- red lines are assumed based on what can be seen through the entire movement:

you can definatley see the movement great diagram Doom.

i was gonna gif the movement with lines and such, but im lazy.
you can definitely see buildings crushing beneath it, it almost looks like its using buildings to prop itself up. or maybe even climbing.

i slowed down the gif at the end to show that its back legs in motion.
its more or less in slow motion anyways.

It's totally a leg, it's also "totally" a turtle. I mean I don't want to believe it, maybe I DO want to believe it, but it just has to be a turtle. http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd299/serversphere/?action=view&current=monster.flv

Just watch the way it top shell-piece doesn't move yet the rest of it does.

Not a shadow, but a building in front of the well-lit
[SPEC] Think it's another building

There is an odd shadow on the building in front of the creature (circled in red)

I believe that the "Shadow" is a lesser lit older building in front of the well - lit building. It seems to fit into the "older" architecture that exists in Nueva Yor'

No?
