gigantis2001 - that's true but this is a giant monster for movie. Name one monster movie besides Jurrasic Park where the creatures are historically accurate.

Whatever, it looks like a hybrid dinosaur/whale to me.

I wasn't trying to shoot down your theory or anything, I just couldn't help mentioning it. Like I said, prehistoric animals are a point of interest for me. On that note, Jurassic Park is nowhere near accurate. Example: Real life Velociraptors were only about waist-high compared to a person. Like I said, I can't help it. Very Happy

Ha ha, that was funny, no offense taken. I thought Jurrasic Park was accurate. You learn something new every day.

Those legs look powerful enough to hold up his top half, especially if it has powerful arms. (And how it threw the SOL's head, they gotta be pretty buff.)

I'm assuming he probably doesn't put all of his weight on his back legs all the time, and that's just further evidenced by how it is apparently hunching over.

Looks kinda like a tail dragging through the city, it looks segmented.

Alright, I'm coming out of hiding to post my thoughts; seems to me that the lack of vertical motion and relative smoothness of the monster's gait implies more than two legs are involved, anything bipedal of that size would have to be bobbing up and down a bit. I'm guessing six or eight legs, maybe four, with two or four arms.

Like a giant caterpillar! Aw, man, that'd be awesome!! Very Happy

Think "First Men in the Moon" (lousy movie, but Harryhausen's fx are always cool)

Good call. The top part of the body is moving smoothly on the horizontal axis which is why I called it as smoke at first (based on the original poor-quality trailer capture).

Anyhow. I agree.

Ok, since you mentioned multiple limbes maybe its a chimera after all - a mutated dinosaur/whale/crab.

IT HAS A FIN OR HORN IN ITS BACK!

It has a horn or fin sticking out of it's back. Look here at this section of video someone posted earlier.

WOW. I thought that was the back of it's head (yeah, I thought a huge monster had a huge head, so?). But in that shot, I totally see a wing. @_@ Gah, I'm so confused...

I don't think dorsal fins have that much bend to them... do they?

Or shark, dolphin, some type of fish, or could just be a type of spine thing. Man I wish I could see more of it.
