Well from what I know, the maker of Heroes, and JJ both complement each others work. What this probably is, is the guys at heroes sharing in a bit of the fun. Or possibly given to them by Greg, as he is working in heroes and Cloverfield (or worked).
I dont think this is a clue, just a bit of fun on the casts side.'
Judging fromt he pics, its very obvious those pictures arnt real, but just 'fun' pictures so to speak.

no normal person would think that these are in prod pictures
or even showing scenes that are directly in-story related
but how can you say they arent real and only fun?
fore sure millions where haluzinating seeing bobs daughter drinking slusho while sitting with suresh in the car....
also not "real" and only "fun" or what?

Hey there!
I'm rather sorry, but I cannot work out how to take a screen shot of DivX movies, but I thought it worth mentioning that Slusho! features in the actual episode of Heroes that aired most recently.
There is a scene with Elle and Mohinder, in the car, 19 minutes into the episode and Elle is suckin' back on nothing other than a Slusho!
Can someone work out how to take a screen capture?

Not so sure about all the slusho

There's one big difference from Slusho before and Slusho now... Those were real cups with real lids. It looks suprisingly like 7-11 cups. Could those pics be a marketing campaign with Heroes helping out the Bad Robot team.
The cups I can understand, but the lids on the cups and the line from the interview that the "cultural significance" of the pics will be understood in the coming months solidifies something I had given up on long ago in the marketing campaign... Real Slusho!
Can't wait till dec 9th.
Im really wondering just how much if any slusho will play in this. My thinking on this is all the slusho references in other JJ works, Alias, etc. Im wondering if slusho is just some kind of inside joke branding for JJ to tie all of his different worlds together. But i will add that after seeing the pics of actual cups, im on the fence about it. Again tho, it doesnt cost a whole lot to make up a few plastic or styrofoam cups.

Not quite sure what you mean. But by not real i meant OOG, meaning i dont think there is a story link between heroes and Cloverfield.

Those pictures are awesome!!! Very cool. But, beyond a bit of fun, I don't think it 'means' anything. That is, I don't think there's any plot-merger or crossover between the 2 shows. It would be very cool if there were though. Here's one: the people running the show in Heroes - the old guard, the ones that tried to orchestrate all the events in Season 1 - they're responsible for the monster attack; it's their Plan B. And, of course, they are big investors in Tagruato.
Kidding. I think JJ and the crew from Heroes are just having some fun.
the cups are interesting - looks like a regular paper/cardboard cup inside a larger plastic cup - to keep it extra-cold no doubt. It is nice that they went to the trouble to do that, to stay consistent with the Slusho backstory. Huzzah!

wow...deja-vu.....
i just referenced Heroes in another thread a few days ago talking about the exploding girl... about the last episode in season 1, (How to Stop an Exploding Man)...
freaky coinkidink...i need to go lie down...
but i'm with mjames, can't wait till dec. 9th to see if in fact they make it a real product, kinda like how they redone a few 7-elevens into kwiki-marts for the simpsons movie
i wonder if slusho comes in a 6-pack?

Well as was mentioned in the blog in which the photos were originally posted, "The cultural significance" will become clearer in due time, so "Pay attention".
I, too believe that the story lines will NOT clash, and they are simply developing a culture that will make the movie seem more like a reality.
I can see it now.

maybe it was planned to link both, but with the writers strike and only two eposodes left of heroes for this season, i dont think it would be possible
but think of that
slusho 7
7 out of 8 on the picture with bob, linderman, gregs dad and so on
(remember one of the eight split, so seven where left
slusho japanese
japanese company running this saving the world kind of war (hiros dad)
and i dont think of slusho as a running gag between neerdish hollywood producers, even knowing of slusho appereance in alias
to quote mr beemans blog
"Their cultural significance will become clear in the coming months, so… pay attention!"
regarding the slusho pics
really, i know it would be only sme kind of wish before christmas, but
do you really think, the cast of heroes (one of the most sucessfull tv shows at the moment), doing fun pics with a brand, that is definetly story related to the most expected movie since years
only for fun or cause both producers respect each others work?
