 		[SPEC][SEMI-SPOILERS]Fates of the Slusho Seven
So now that we see the new trailer, what can we surmise about the fate of the Slusho 7?

My take:

Rob & Beth: wind up in Central Park, maybe the last humans left on Manhattan. As the monsters close in, they film one last video goodbye and maybe tell the world "what happened."

Jason: unsure, but I don't think he lasts much longer past the party. We know from Trailer #1 (Lil/Rob shouting "Where's Jason?") that he's already disappeared shortly after the attack begins, so I'm guessing Mike Vogel's part is REAL short.

Jamie: doesn't even appear in Trailer 1, much less 2. The "spread my hotness" photo on 1-18-08.com doesn't even necessarily indicate that she's at Rob's party -- that photo could have been taken *before.* My guess: she dies of Slusho Disease some time BEFORE 1/18/08.

Marlena: appears to die a pretty gruesome death in that triage center in Trailer 2. Maybe she 'splodes; maybe she gives birth to an alien critter like poor old Ashe; maybe she just bleeds out internally from critter infection/ genetically-engineered combat virus/ too much Slusho drinking.

Hud: he *appears* to fall in the subway, when Rob and Lil turn back and scream "HUD!" I'm thinking the critters get him at that point.

Lil: this one's a mystery to me. No indication of her demise anywhere in the trailer, other than scratches on her arm (so if the "infection" theory holds up, those claw marks will make her wind up 'sploding just like poor Marlena). But she *doesn't* show up in the Central Park scene with Beth and Rob, and she doesn't *appear* to be on one of the choppers, so it's safe to assume she didn't make it out alive.

Anybody else got any theories on how everybody dies?

 		My theory:

Rob, Lilly, Marlena, Jason and Hud are at the party. No idea about Jamie.
The monster attacks and they run out onto the street. Possibly getting separated from Jason but then he's obviously there in the store windows exploding scene so who knows?? Maybe he dies or gets lost early on... anyway then down to the subway..Rob tries to call Beth...they try to go get Beth...something happens to Marlena....she explodes or something...now it's down to Rob, Lilly and Hud still trying to make their way to Beth.....but Hud is filming to whole time I believe... after they find Beth they are heading for evacuation choppers, Lilly gets put on a different chopper... Rob, Beth and Hud get on another....they take off... either the monster or something else causes them to spin out and crash....Rob and Beth make it out...Hud doesn't...they get the camera and hide under the bridge in Central Park....it caves in...the end.

Ahh..just a guess. I know it's vague.

i like yours, till the last bit.
helicopter - daylight
under the bridge - attack time +7 hrs. (6-7am) january still dark.
so i put the bridge scene before they get into a chopper - unless - the bridge scene is WAY after the daytime heli escape.

because theyre way up in the air and not surviving a crash, as theyre already injured.
another thing, rob is only sporting a t-shirt heading to board the heli in the promo pics, under the bridge still rocking his button down.

HUD is the problem, where was his ass under the bridge?

are we ruling out that the heli footage is military property? (i.e not from HUDs camera) if this is some kind of review they couldve used their own.
this fuckin movie is frying my brain.

If that's correct the under the bridge scene is the last scene and the sheet says the scene is set at dawn. The daylight in the chopper scene looks pretty dawn-like to me. I think those clips of them filming the bridge scene were shot during the daytime too.

 		I believe that is Lily on the helicopter looking out, not beth. Lily & Rob survive. Rest...Die!

 		the bridge being the last scene doesnt jive with me.

i think JJ wanted to end it as so. but bailed when it leaked. opted for the dramatic heli crash instead of slient exit. putting the heli down in central park would leave the camera there. itd be easy for the camera to survive that crash, but not humans.

 		Could just be two versions of the ending but Lilly getting separated would explain the shot of her taking off from Hud's perspective and a crash would explain how they got back down into Central Park and what happened to Hud. As for Rob still wearing his button down shirt in the bridge scene it doesn't look like it. I was wrong it look like it was filmed at night:

Agreed. I don't know if they're the last in Manhattan per se, maybe the last in Central Park? I think that's where the helicopter crashes, with no other survivors in the area, and they may be badly hurt and die as well, or rescued, based on which ever ending JJ goes with. Rob looks like he's going to be slusho'd in the production photo (where Beth is with him in the crashed helicopter).

We see Jason in the convenience store (left of Rob). Nothing after that.

With the timestamp on the 1-18-08.com picture, I'd still wager she was there. I don't think we'll see her, or her fate in the movie, unless it's a passing glance. She's our ARG princess, so if this ARG is to go beyond 01-18-08, we'll learn of her fate through that. Teddy too. I have a counter argument to my own argument: Maybe this movie doesn't take place on 1-18-08. The only clue I have is the temperature shown in the first trailer (63 degrees), and the lack of winter coats, supporting the temperature being that high. That's odd for NY in winter time.

I'm in the camp of dying through grotesque biological means. Whether it's exploding or simply hemorrhaging profusely from some apparent infection, it's not a good way to go.

I think he just fell back from the explosion in the area above the stairwell. You can see that Marlena is still okay, and since he makes it to Beth's apartment - sans Marlena - I'm not sure how he bites it. My guess is when the helicopter goes down, since he's filming both Rob and Beth freaking in the spinning helicopter (1:58 in the trailer). I'm pretty sure TJ said he was "in" most of the film as the "cameraman", and probably only visible when he sets the cam down to assist Rob and friends with something.

She outlasts Jason and Marlena, but not sure if she surpasses Hud. She's in helicopter # 402 (1:54 in the trailer), which is NOT the same helicopter Hud, Rob and Beth are in, since Hud is filming them in it, and Lily as her helicopter lifts off. Maybe she LIVES. OMG!

Lily is in copter with Rob, looks like Jason is runnin w/ beth to catch one in those stills.

Oooh ooh ooh I've been waiting for this thread since the day we got the myspace pages!!

I'm going for the following order of demise:

1. Jamie (assuming she's in the movie at all)
2. Jason (initial attack)
3. Marlena (bio-nastiness)
4. Lily (gets in a helicopter that is swatted down by the monster)

If any Rob, Beth and Hud survive. I don't think Hud dies, I think that he just falls down or something - it's a teaser. That'd be stupid to disclose that a main character kicks it in a trailer when it could be milked for all kinds of dramatic value in the movie, I have more faith than that in JJA&Co. & their ability to do some drama.

Why these three? Rob is the main character, so he HAS to survive. Beth has to survive so they can have a tender moment at the end. Hud is going to survive, because as the resident fan-boy/goofball he's going to get the most laughs and the viewers (mostly fan-boy types) are going to relate to him most strongly - they are seeing the movie through his eyes, in some sense. To kill Hud would alienate the audience.

It's hard to tell from the distance of the shot (and because I have to watch it on small [480]... damn computer), but I see either a strand of hair, or blood from the eyes...

 		One thing is that HUD most likely does not die in the scene where he falls over because later shots show them down in the subway and somebody has to be filming
