i think euchre is right and jj was inspired by that story in the times. directors/writers do that a lot. it makes sense and should b a fun story.
love the new clues. the text is really kool. so basically the whole thing is abou t this secret deep sea nectar that , for now, seems like the "big thing" for humanity.

so is the Vaam Hornet Drink OOG? i researched into it until my eyes wept to no avail. No mention of the secret ingredient in it. The only connection with anything, is that Dr Abe is mentioned.
I checked the research institute he was based at but could find nothing conclusive. Maybe someone else will have better luck?

Still no reply from Tagruato, then again I never had any luck with them replying...
I have to say that I think the 5pancakes thing is IG, partially because of the timing, but also the pic and the fact it sounds IG. Plus, Cloverfield related things have a tendency to show up high in google, and when typing in 'Ravaille slusho' into google, the science forums is the only result you get, last time I checked.

Searched Youtube for the supposed "documentary" clue but to no avail. Has anyone had other luck?

i'm guessing medical research experiments on 80 year old ladies are not going to be posted freely on You tube or any other video sharing website.
The video in question, if there is one, will probably be on any medical research website and probably one secured with a password, like Jamie's vids but less cute.

here is my two cents worth, letters typed are certain matches from brightening and zooming and comparing, letters in brackets are fill in the blanks due to what comes after or how many letters will fit before you have to return to the next line. Enjoy!.....

I came to the conclusion (and ended it abruptly) that this book that was scanned could be found online using the numbers in the top corner. I found an article matching exactly to the numbers vol 131 pages 476-491, but it related to diabeties and did not offer much informaiton. It seems it was a wild goose chase.
Can someone else try different variations of searching under these numbers as i believe that they are the vital link to gaining more clues. Perhaps on the other pages before and after this one in the book.
help anyone?

I've send an e-mail to targuato with request about more information. Think, the chances they answer me are not so optimistical, but who doesn't try...
Because normaly the report of Dr. Abe is 15 pages long.
I hope, they have really written the whole text, not only the one page they gave us to be happy

So, a fake article in a fake book about a fake documentary? House of Leaves anyone? Funny to think that so much of Cloverfield bears a striking resemblance to Danielewski's novel and that it was also a story involving several people shooting a documentary which involved a monster. The House of Leaves monster being a minotaur...
Crazy. Looks like Abrams picked up a few pointers from the book. (House of Leaves is also mentioned on one of the Slusho 7's myspace page.[/i])

seeing as though Tagruato refers to Dr Abe as being a "preditor" then i doubt they'd be willing to disclose any articles damning to their product. So e-mailing them would be fruitless.
Another route may be worth diverting your attention to.... like messaging that guy on the science message board and asking for the other pages to that.

Exactly, the whole hype we experience with the trailers are just a repeating of a hype around "Navidson records". I find, Danielewski was really genious, or simply he can understand very well the group psychology.
And we exist in the fictional level of Zampano, imho.

I have just now sent the following message to 5pancakes in an attempt to ascertain more information or obtain the other pages to go with the one attached to his letter:
"I am interested in your query regarding Slusho! and I am too concerned about it's effects. My son consumes a lot of the drink and if there are side effects, i would like to know.
Have you found any more informaiton on this subject? Also, can you send me the other scanned pages that go before and after the one you posted t enable me further my own research?
thank you in anticipation of your help
Mr Keenan"
