Can I ask why it seems everybody is so dead-set on "The Cause" being a noun, rather than a figure of speech?

I hate to let this thread die! With all the falderal and new information over the last few days it seems we have quiet a bit to digest. But I feel that we aren't paying enough attention to the CAUSE that Jamie mentioned in her last video message. Obviously Teddy is involved in something very important at least to him, enough so that Jamie is willing to talk about it when she obviously has other issues she would like to discuss with Teddy. Is the cause an anti-big oil movement, are they green or is he a part of the Ravaille Research Center? I believe that this is pivotal to the film's plot and shouldn't be passed over. I know the Jamie videos are a little insipid, but maybe we'll find out a little more when her next video is published. Regardless, I think we need to keep an eye on this particular clue.

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing more about the cause soon because of the hacking of the website today and the picture of the CEO being changed. i think your just a step ahead of the game

This controversy over Tagruato's work also provides a bit of a basis for the military being secretive about the nature of the monster and the evidence of it's attack.
