I would like the monster to be shown, but not too much. Keep the suspense going, for the majority of the film just show different bits of it, like the shot in the trailer. Then when we least expect it, give us a several second shot of it (adjust for maximum dramatic effect).

i agree about showing the monster in bits of it(or maybe no view of it at all) towards the middle of the film, and then at the very end, with all that built up suspense, we finally see the full view of the monster...JJ Abrams made us think of what it could be this whole time, what makes me think he wont do the same throughout the actual movie?

BTW, I like the smoke monster (but only in Lost, I want a real one for this film)

But it sounded so much like a dinosaur! Crying or Very sad I love dinosaurs. I had a pet dinosaur once, but then the doctor told me I should stop talking to trees 'cuz then the other kids would make fun of me, but I didn't care because Rexy would eat them and then we'd fly off to Disney World and eat funnel cakes forever!!!

In other words, the smoke monster is entirely responsible for the mental and physical trauma I've caused to myself and others throughout the years Wink
