 		OK, I'm reaching here, but I might have something - the note on the vault, each stain on the note touches a single letter, effectively highlighting them, in this order:

E I T M O R F F F T A Y

Anagram maybe? I can get 'Time For Taffy' at a first glance.

What does the message at GothamCab number say? I can't make all of it out. What I'm getting is:

"Don't worry about all the stuff in the papers
(Can't make out name) says he's handling it
(Another name, possible Ralphy?) called this morning, he says he's got more work.
Double the payment, sounds good, right?
If anyone comes with questions, we just have to keep our mouths shut. Understand?"

I'm guessing someone is worried about Dent coming down on corrupt cops. I'm also guessing gotham cab is involved in the scandal.

This is the reference to a 'taffyface article' on SHH, the boards are rammed so I'm having trouble loading the other pages in the thread to see what he's talking about... does it jog anyones memory?

 		Found it - The Gotham Times, end of the first big article on the front page (right next to Dent's photo), it says Johnny 'Taffyface' was killed at 7:38 AM. That's gotta be something...

Anyone feel free to trout me. Actually you know what, I will trout myself just in case Trout , but is there a date given on the Gotham Times? The article says "late last night", so maybe combine the time and date of death for the combination lock? Since the bloodspattered letters on the note can be anagrammed inte "time for taffy", it seems at least worth a shot.
