i concur with Ceign here
I think that the amount of effort put into that image shows it's not OOG
i mean, most OOG websites are poorly formatted and use images that already exist
this one is a pretty hardcore hoaxer if it is.
p.s "concur"- i love unfiction

Yeah, and something tells me that if this was OOG, it would have already been changed by now. Even if it is a holiday weekend, these people have to be more on top of it then that.

wow i refuse to believe im final gonna b the first one to notice something......if u look closely at each creature.....the things that were changed/added are actually roman numerals...
the crab has a I on his face the the left of his left eye (so on our right)
the jellyfish has a II on his extra tentacles
the squid has a III on his the farthest to the left tentacle
the ogrefish has a IV next to his left eye
EDIT: sure enough the wave has a V. a little hard to see and i dunno how to get a pic on here.....or else id circle it but its definitely there

Dam good find!!!! I can see each number, perhaps this is the order that the Cause will attack them in? But yeah, you deserve major credit for finding that when everybody else failed to see it.

II - Octopus - Has flaps, and lives deep under water.
III - Jellyfish - Very dangerous
IV - Fish - Deep, scary looking.

so do these creatures appear on Slusho! ?
i think everything except the fish no? maybe this is something to do with that new section on slusho coming up soon. or possibly related to a new jamie and teddy video comin soon.
things just got a whole lot more exciting. Anyone still doubt this is an ARG?

This probably is just wild spec, but following the monster is a bunch of different stuff put together theory, and some other theories, it could have some truth behind it. I looked at the characteristics of these animals and some of the stuff jumped out at me.
The first thing that jumped out at me was reading about the ogrefish. according to wikipedia this fish "may undergo diel migrations as is common with many deep-sea fish: by day these fish remain in the gloomy depths and towards evening they rise to the upper layers of the water column to feed by starlight, returning to deep water by daybreak." This may explain why there is no monster seen in the daylight helicopter scene, or the movie poster.
The next is the whole is it a minitour thing. The octopus is called dumbo because "the ear-like fins protruding from the top of their "heads" (actually bodies), resembling the ears of Walt Disney's flying elephant." These protrusions could possibly be confused as horns.
The tanner crab, "The male crab is attracted by a chemical attractant (pheromone) released by the female." This would follow along with the whole slusho! attracts the monster theory.
And this might be a stretch, but possibly something resulting from some sort of contact with the monster could cause a very very extreme form of Irukandji Syndrome, the result of being stung by the jellyfish, which might account for the "exploding girl".
Thats just my thoughts, so feel free to agree or flame away.

Wild spec, but maybe those are the animals they used as reference for making the monster. Probably not though.

as for spec that this is an OOG hack
i totally think this is IG.
or else someone put alot of time into making that image in photoshop for no reason
Honestly, that is not a very complicated image at all...a novice could whip that up in an hour or so. A more experienced user could do it in half the time.
