I left a message last night, didn't leave my cell phone number, but I got a call back five minutes later from a private number. I didn't answer. They left a message that sounded like when someone tries to send a fax to your house phone, just beeps over and over again for about a minute straight. Has anyone else had this experience? (It's probably just a coincidence).

We're approaching the infamous "political season" and those come quite often around that time. It's a company trying to send a fax, or a telemarketer trying to send an ad via fax.

TIDOO worked! Razz Shocked Surprised
But so will any 5-digit number Embarassed
But when TIDOO worked my heart stopped. srsly.

This is the message I get, roughly:

Welcome to the sub-computer messaging system. Please enter your mailbox number, which is 9, followed by your 4-digit extension number, followed by pound, followed by your password, then pound again.

Followed by another person speaking in bad English. It says

You have reached [indiscernible] Togashi, at the reception. Unfortunately, I am unable to take your call at this time, please leave a message. Thank you.

The gist of the message is in there, but I can't record calls, I don't think. So hopefully CloverfieldClues will get on here and record them.

I make a lot of calls for work, and I always push '0' when I get those pesky automated things. 9/10 times I get a real person.

0 simply causes the operator to repeat the options.

From the Book page you mean? I could see that being important. Wink

I believe KLind means this:

but Soci might be referring to this:

In this thread:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22169

The trail is gone now for anyone trying to find it on their own since the Tagruato site was hacked and the forums where the book page was posted have deleted the post.

Well, I'm not sure how I would go about using these numbers.
There is 1265.08.41 (unknown) 131.476-491 (Vol. #), and 482 (pg. #)
"unknown" is not a Japanese phone number, I tried it (dialed 81-3-1265-0841). And from what we've just found out, we're looking for a 4-digit #, and a password. I also heard something about the significance of the number '3912', though I don't know where that came from. At any rate, it's not the 4 digit number we're looking for. It's possible Togashi may answer on a weekday. If I don't call tomorrow hopefully someone else will Wink

I have posted the entire un-edited voice mail message here: http://www.archive.org/download/TagruatoPhoneCall2_498/tagruato2full.mp3

I would have liked to call back and record what happens if you enter an extension, but since I don't speak Japanese, I would be wandering around blind. If anyone here speaks Japanese, and would like to record your call, here is how to it:

I used Skype to make the call on my computer over the internet. When you sign-up, the first 10 minutes to anywhere in the world are free. When the call connected, I recorded the audio using Audacity. When you are in a call, you can use the number pad on your keyboard to dial an extension.

Use the "test" number to try everything out first.

When the operator says to enter an extension, press any set of 5 numbers. Then the sub-computer message will begin to play.

NEW: Togashi is now answering if you simply go through the sub-computer message without pressing anything. However, she's speaking only in Japanese. I'll have a recording up soon. I'm going to try to speak to her in English and see if anything happens. Or if someone speaks Japanese: just say the phrase "Are you with Tagruato?". That way we can know for certain if she's IG.

Hmm. Interesting, but I'm having flashbacks to Iris (the Halo 3 ARG).
There was a phone number with pre-recorded messages, and someone found that by pressing a certain key you were prompted for a password, but that password ended up being for the voicemail and entirely OOG. We might be getting sidetracked here too.
