 		It may be OOG, fine. But What is it for then? I am curious about the site's contents. Why would someone try to jack the game with this site? What purpose would they have? There's nothing on this site but a weird mystery. It might be a dumb one, to boot, but it is unexplained. Why use real songs that aren't remixed with fake remix names? I'm honestly curious what reasons people have to think that... And I'd like to get to the bottom of the site either way.


Hollywood wouldn't mess with the Saudis? Did you see THE KINGDOM?

FLAGS

There is approximately 6200 miles of active pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico constructed or approved prior to 1982. To put that in context, there are 1200 active pipelines in the Gulf that are at least 25 years old.

Industry's track record with offshore drilling is ugly. Offshore drilling platforms and pipelines spilled 1.8 million gallons of oil in U.S. waters from 1990-1999 in 224 reported accidents – that's an average of almost 500 gallons a day2. Additionally, offshore operations produce 214,000 pounds of air pollutants each year, and tens of thousands of pounds of mercury have been dumped around Gulf oil rigs.

The Sierra Club


The songs are strange
Before clicking on any songs and playing them there is sound in the background that sounds like sonar. It plays 6 times then stops.

Hands Remix - "The clock on the wall reads a quarter past midnight..." (I like this song a lot, lol)
Chemical Remix - You can't make me close my eyes
Alliance Remix M72 (at first I thought it was a weapon) - talks about having only this moment.
FPSO Remix - FPSO stands for Floating Production Storage and Offloading - talks about lies, disease, another world is born.
IOPD Remix - IOPD stands for Integrated Ocean Drilling Program, just music - very somber. Then the end you hear frogs and some growling and splashing like something is getting out of/in the water. (4:25)
M71 House Remix - Meet your maker, the rooftop coming down, this property is condemned - Looking to the November sky - waiting for science - piece of history.

I first thought the M72 was of course a weapon, then I listened to M71 and it mentions looking at the sky. I googled it and pulled up that M71 is a cluster of stars. I looked up M72 is a cluster of stars as well.

M71 - Messier 71
NGC 6981
Saggita

M72 - Messier 72
NGC 6838
Aquarius

Both are globular clusters

Now you may ask how I thought of stars, well I looked up aka parallax and as defined on the main page:

The apparent displacement of an object caused by the change in the position from which it was viewed.

Could be totally unrelated, who knows I just thought it was interesting, lol. My brain over thinks things way too much sometimes.

EDITED: Listened to the IOPD song again and again. Their is subtle background noise that sounds as if a really large creature is roaring in the far off distance.


Although M72 and M71 are drilling platforms as well as Messiers

Two new flags are Saudi Arabia and Australia. I had also emailed Sierra Club back when I posted all this and they said it was not related to them but the text was taken from one of their news pages on their site.

ALSO since I have been watching AKA Parallax with a few other people IT HAS been updated everytime their was a major update on another IG site. Jamie and Teddy Video 4 - new stuff, Tagruato hacked - new stuff, Slusho site update - new stuff.

The cause of this being though of PIG (Possible In Game) was because when JamieandTeddy.com was discovered this site was also created around the same time on the same server. The post saying that (which was my "LINK" above in quoted text) crashed with the forums when they went down on that site and were never revived.

I wouldnt use that as a reason why its definatly OOG, its a reason to believe it is, but its not concrete. Allow me to elaborate, shows like the Simpsons get out of any repercussions from badmouthing something because its not the views of the writers, its the views of homer. So in a case like this, its not paramount's believes that are been posted on Aka Parallax, but the views of anti-oil group. TV shows and movies diss people all the time, its part of freedom of speech.

Paramount can always deny any relation with the website. They can stick to their previous statements where they say they are only responsible for the official website.

Even though its a freedom of expression issue. We've seen films very recently that directly damaged the image of countries such as Iran and it wasn't such a big deal after all.

 		I agree with all of you (save the naysayers lol) and I am sorry Egyptianruin that I could not for the life of me find out who he had quoted that from.

Those of us who are looking into this site aren't hurting anyone. Those of you who think it is OOG, please feel free to go find another thread you feel is IG and comment away and let us try to work this out. If it turns out to be nothing then no harm done we'll wipe the egg from our face and move on. If it even has the slight possibility of being in game I am willing to explore it.

Like I have said before I believe that this site is IG for a few reasons, I won't rehash what I said before BUT If this isn't IG then I wonder what kind of real life group made this site. What were there motives? If it is a coincidence that both sites were created on the same server at the same time and that both sites are updating almost exactly at the same time every time, then how do the site owners know when jamie and teddy's site is updating. Also if this is a real site why would it have those wierd noises that sound like growling or rumbling when you aren't playing any music? What about the weird text behind the player?

Also note Status said he sent multiple emails to _______SPLATakaparallax.com and the only one that didn't bounce back was dumboSPLATakaparallax.com.

This site has just TOO MANY coincidences for me to completely disregard it so I will continue to search much to many of your apparent chagrine. Ce la vie

 		I agree with heytheyfoundabody that this site is not some real group who just happened to stumble into some Cloverfield coincidences. However, the possibility of this being a gamejack is still high. It's just too unconected with the rest of the game. And the use of 'Dumbo' for the mail seems random.

Given the amount of gamejacking we've had on this game I say we claim guilty until proven otherwise. So until we get some conection between Parallax and the IG sites, we shouldn't waste too much time analing this site.

Those sounds are different then before. The sound before was the ping of sonar radar. PING....PING...PING... Like this:

Now it is the same pattern just a little different sounding. Also KNOW YOUR ENEMY wasn't behind the player previously either. I have moved that player on every visit and it was just added recently. Also the 4:25 mark of IODP Remix is still strange - with the monstrous sound in the background.

Who could be meant?
The Nations whose ensigns are shown or ... Tagruato?
Or is it meant, that Akaparallax is the Enemy?

From the general context of the site I would think it would mean that Big Oil or those involved with Big Oil are the enemy.

Also knowing your enemy - you sometimes have to be intimate with the enemy to know them - does this allude to the fact that there's someone on the inside working for the owners of akaparallax.com, and if so why would they willingly give that information up.

Grumpants was called parallaxative in highschool for uncontrollable bowels, he drinks slusho cause of is Imodium-like characteristics, and he get blocked up, this make him mad, and he flatulates the SOL's head off?
