[INFO] HD Monster Footage Adjusted for movement and perspective. I took the 1 second clip of the monster from the HD 1080p version and converted into frame by frame images. I then put them through PS adjusting them for movement and perspective, and then looped it back and forth so it doesn't jump.
The preview image is a bit glitchy so view it in full, it won't play properly until it's all downloaded.

VERY NICE, to me this puts to rest the "extremophile/shelled" theories & makes it look like a large reptile (kinda looks like an iguana to me in those shots). Personally I see two distinct legs and what looks like a pelvic(?) bone protrusion on the underbelly. I know it's asking a lot, but could you run these frames through the "exposure" adjustment (if you have CS3) to lighten them all & make a similar animation of them?

Hmm I don't get it then. I thought this thing was supposed to be HUGE?
Looks sorta small now. That can't be what we think we are seeing.

Those are not the big hind legs you'd expect to see in a biped, nor do they look proportional to the large rounded mass of the body we see moving behind the building. The rounded top does look a bit like a shell shape, but not like a tortoise. This to me more resembles an insect or crustacean, with a lot more soft connective tissue than you usually see in either of those species normally. What it does not look like to me is reptilian, and if anything it could be amphibian. The top of that almost looks iridescent though, more like a beetle.
For this thing to have a roar, it's gotta have a respiratory tract a bit like reptiles, mammals, and amphibians have. Indications are it has some sort of claws. this creature is quite the combination or mutation of features of various kinds of animals, it should be pretty interesting to see.

Is it me or does it look as though the monster doesn't have a tail, but rather a nub? I never noticed it before until i saw the 1080p cap above. Its almost as if this thing is a huge bird. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phorusrhacids - minus the feathers...I know that doesn't fit with any sea theory, but the shape of the creature resembles one of these birds a bit.
For whatever its worth, this animal seems to move like and be postured almost like T Rex from old movies (pre-Jurassic Park).

Frakkin' Amazing. Well DONE!!
I'd like to say something really smart, like Euchre's post a few back, but all I can come up with is that it definitely looks... weird.
Awesome job putting it all together - great vid.

The only thing I can clearly make out in that picture are the legs. No shell, arms or head, and anything else would just be a guess.
Personally, it's such a quick and obscured shot that I'm not so sure how much we can read into it. In terms of special effects, it's intentionally "messy" to keep the questions coming. Still feel like the monster we get in the film could be just about anything.
But based on the "evidence," we've got a pretty distinct pair of legs and a pretty distinct reptilian-style roar. If I had to put money down, all signs point to something Godzilla-esque, only meaner.

the more i look at this clip the more i keep thinking that we are only seeing abou 1/3 of the creature. the part everyone think looks like a leg looks more like the tail of the beast. you can clearly see it has segmented armor. and the armor shifts with the creature. the leg in question looks kind of like the fantail of a lobester. (but i don't think its a lobster though) definetly a crustacean.

Even with that gif, I still see a isopod like thing. The 'legs' are defiantly too small for bipedal. Also, I dont see how anyone can call this thing small. Its about twice the height of an apartment block.

I agree. 1/3 or less even. I think speculation is ok but i dont think anyone will ever be able to tell from this clip. Which is fine by me. I would rather find out what it is in the movie theatre.
