I read it as Await.
I was wondering if there was a hidden message, some of the letters look other letters, the ss in missing looks like a B, for example. I'm not going to go down that road though.

Even if it isn't 'Expect', I doubt it really matters.

Has anyone managed to translate any of the Japanese on the front of the note? If it is a memo or email we might be able to determine who sent or received it?

I vote for expect. sloppy but I think it's expect. In my opinion our focus should be translating the front.

To people saying the front of the memo isnt importiant... It's got the freakin Tagurato logo on it, how much more proof you need?

Don't just throw out the Japanese yet - I still think it could be important, and we won't know for sure until we translate it.

EDIT: I know a little bit of katakana and hiragana (no kanji, sorry), so I attempted a translation, but all I could make out was the first few lines, which say -

Level 1 [Kanji]
[Kanji]
Site [Kanji] of [Kanji] concerning
11/24/2007
---------------------------------------------------
[Kanji] protagonist (could also be city hand) [Kanji] of good (could also be who sprout)

Really, though, you're going to have to get a fluent Japanese speaker or someone who can work a translator really well to translate this. I can only get so far, but it looks important.
