I had a dream that I was watching the movie, then Cthulhu appeared in my dream...

Then I got up and killed my family.

best end of world dream ever... it happened my freshman year about 6 yrs ago.
I was walking to school, and a dream-montage of sorts happened (where alot of things happen super fast but time has not sped up or anything). Rain began pouring which led to a flood. The ground shook elevating parts of of the sidewalk and the waters flooded the rest....giving everything a very venice feel only with more destruction. Seconds later, everything forze over and became ice and snow. The rain drops froze and i was being pelted by snow and hail. I cotinued walking whilst fearing creatures being in the waters (i havea fear of ocean depths....and whales....seriously) i eventually came to a store which seemed to be the only place left in the city with lights, a butcher shop. There were a few survivors there. They gave me food and out the backdoor i left, but not back into the cold. I ended up being in a humongous tropical forests. Everything was so quiet, all i could hear was a slight breeze and various cooing of small creautres and such. I walked along a path until i reached a huge drop in the land before me. There was no forest, only grass. various prehistoric creatures surrounded me peacefully drinking water and grazing the foliage. I was then one of the creatures (as could only occur in a dream). I was struck with a sudden sense of fear. All the other creatures began to flee. The skies blackened and the grass burned. A small stream i had been sipping from evaporated. A sudden wave of heat sweat everything and a ball of fire that covered the entire skyline was approaching and a blinding light obscured my vision

The light faded and i came out of hiding. Somehow me and a few others had survived. We fled and ended up back at the shop where i had earlier met up with survivors. There were none here this time. Only smeared bloodstains covering the windows and butchered pigs scattered about. Me and the survivors were human once more. I left them. I don't know why i decided to leave alone but it was soon after this point i knew i was in a dream. I walked out the back door and the realization struck me that this wasn't real. I began to scream at myself to wake up. I hated being where i was with a burning passion. Tears were running down my burned, sweaty, dirt covered face and In that moment in time every horrible feeling one can get hit me in one giant blast. That was what it took and i woke up. I don't know how i didn't scream when i woke up. Everything was so intense.

I had a dream that Tyra Banks drank five Slusho and was very sad...

Then the Cloverfield monster came into the room and...

I dreamed that slusho was real and right when I was about to drink one this other guy turned into a monster and then this huge monster came and ate him and chased me. Was scary! Was knocking down buildings and stuff then like this dude named Rob came by with a camera, I was like wtf?!

Usually my dreams just consist of my bridge commander and my security chief with birds on their shoulders and saying cryptic things...

I have the weirdest dreams. Take, for example -

A dream about a bag of pitbulls eating my family and myself;

A dream in which I was a Pokemon trainer, I teamed up with Ash Ketchum and, in something that was like a skyscraper-sized version of the exo-skeleton in Aliens, me and my Pokemon and Ash and bloody Pikachu fought a giant monster on the grounds of my school (I was, like, 9, so it's explainable);

Or one I had a couple of nights ago, and me and a whole lotta people I knew were crammed in a room, then we all left for a ball with a Ghostbusters/princesses theme (I know, WTF?), then (it gets worse), I entered a door and it turned into what I can only describe as a skewed fruity stage version of Enchanted.

Seriously, a psychiatrist would have a field-day with me. But no, no dreams of Mr. Grumpypants - yet. Or, for that matter, a dream of an orgy with Falco, McPhearson, Rhavin, SROL, Dennis, Dr. Awkward, Mr. Grumpypants, Tyra Banks and Everything's Magic - yet.

i had a dream about cloverfield once and the monster was called "New Gojira" or something like that.

i also once had a very strange dream when i was in elementary school where me and a lot of kids were running around a strange playground, mostly avoiding a shaggy dog that would eat the faces of kids who were kicked in the ankle by other kids, and then i remember a guy explained why and he said "because your ankles have the most chicken". luckily my face was never eaten. im pretty sure i got kicked in the ankle once too.

In anycase, I had a dream about cloverfield, but it was about the ARG, in that I discovered a vital clue (A new website about weird disturbances on the ocean floor), and it was tracking these 'bloop-like' instances all around the globe, from that I (and other forum members) deduced the path of the creator of these things (we all said it was a monster).

Its bad enough to dream about the events of the movie, its far worse to dream about following the ARG

Just last week, actually, my dream was something like Cloverfield and G.A. Romero's "--of the Dead" series.

I was driving back on base in hurry. I was in uniform, which is wierd because it was the new Airman Battle Uniform, which I just got today. Got to the main gate, only to see that there were swarms of Japanese people, some injured, trying to get on as well. I parked my car and caught a ride with my friend to the building that I stay in. Everyone was in MOPP gear but had M16s. Some had Berettas.

I had a beretta. Might as well have brought a knife to a gunfight.

So anyways, I am about to leave the building to hop on a shuttle to head to the other side of the base near the base beach. There's an offbase road there, blocking off the base with a barb-wired fence. We were told to secure that area, but I never made it to the shuttle.

A Captain I know pulled me aside and told me to talk to this woman who was in my room. As I walked back up to the second floor, I realized that the windows looked blown/knocked out, and looked to have been covered with some type of tarp. I got to my room, to see my girlfriend, her twin, and her twin's boyfriend, who just happens to be my closest friend.

The girls were scared, then we heard an explosion and saw an F16 crash. It was loaded with lives, so it exploded. Then I heard some guy like "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!" like in the Cloverfield trailer.

I could only think that the jets were loaded up like that because they had some A-G missions to take care of, which meant that the streets were swarming with persons infected or monsters. I told the girls that we had to go, and we run down the halls. We were going to head down the stairwell, but it's blocked off. The hallway is loooong, so we continue down, but the ceiling collapses so it's blocked off now.

It was like a videogame...and you're stuck somewhere and it keeps making you mad as hell.

So apparently, my room ends up on the first floor and we hop out a window to run to my car which magically appears, then gets flipped away into the distance by something. Tanks and Marines and Soldiers are here, which is crazy because there are no Marines and Soldiers on this base.

I start shooting in the direction that the Marines and Soldiers are. Not hitting anything but buildings because that's what they're hitting too. I don't see anything except smoke and a building falling over.

Or was it a monster's leg? I don't know.

Then I wake up.

I wanted to go back to sleep to continue the dream, but I had to go to work. >: (
