NataS, thanks. But I'm only checking in, I will be on the run again in a couple more days for maybe a week or two. Read about your trip. Stay safe and in touch.

more hindsight.

on http://www.bullerman.net/ the very first sentence has these strange capital letters:

Quote:
JB, Seems we have a friend or two. No matter. I found the

Which give us J B S N I. Did we ever figure out who JB is?

J. Bullerman <- could that be Jeff? (I've gotten a little rusty, do we know what Jeff's last name is?

Dan of course is Daniel Bullerman. Who was Snider? I forgot.

Also the last (hidden) paragraph has these unusual caps:
Quote:
JB, its not that hard. have you lost your touch? I thought you were with us. log into the mail exchange already!
L = 72.92970606 (dont forget the 0)
P E4A6D8A4D6E8D5E6A8A4D6E8, play on JB, play on. "make the best of whats around"

Which gives us J B I L P J B

I can't get much out of them the way they are but S N I I L P anagrams to SLIP IN

Sylvia, Snider we have strong hints to being a kid Jeff went to school with a while ago, who always used to sing "old macdonald" (remember?)

And honestly, I think that JB might be OUR name. Collectively, based upon how JB is adressed. Or maybe someone who works like us. Because every time sni talks to JB, it seems as if we are at least working towards the same goals, or in a similar position.

^when we spent a long time on the /mail password (because I was dumb about guitars Embarassed ).

(also, did we ever figure out what "L" meant?)

I'm thinking JB is the Jason we were not supposed to trust... and SNI is reference to Snider...
No, we still don't know Jeff's last name.. Might be worthwhile to ask him in anyone's next contact.

EDIT:trout: HA I trouted myself..

Don't beat up on yourself ferriwiccan.. Everyone overlooked it, not because of you, just because.
L is for login (e * pi * e * pi)
P is for password.

Natas, I found it strange also that the Tripoli City reference ended up leading to nothing. But there's really not too much I can do until the 1st. I'm visiting family for this new year's.i
l
I'll see if I can talk to Jeff. I might be able to?

NEW RIDDLE!

http://www.bullerman.net/hide

I've tried the obvious dan, iowa login password using DAN IOWA CUT HYDE.
Was the HYDE a misspelling or was it on purpose or did we make an error in the decode. If Dan or Iowa has nothing to do with the login or password, I don't know where to begin to find it. I'll try to brute force until some bright idea comes to mind. but there are SO many options, wish me luck.

Another thought. does that mean the anagram "Dan, I watched you." is a false positive. and since Jeff's aim is tidusIA (tidus Iowa), does that mean dan's is danIA (Dan Iowa)? wow there are a LOT of tangents here. come on team.

EDIT: danIA is a valid screen name on AIM. I don't know if it means diddlysquat,.

well, out of curiosity, I tried:

L = jekyll
P = hyde

L = drjekyll
P = mrhyde

L = hyde
P = jekyll

L = mrhyde
P = drjekyll

also:

L = anybody
P = danyboy

L = ANYBODY
P = danyboy

L = anybody
P = slipin

L = ANYBODY
P = slipin

needless to say, they didn't work. throw us a bone PMs

NataS, good observation on danIA.

SCORE! I knew hacking into his personal site wasn't right XD

I wonder if the misspelling is telling us something? I tried "yowa" instead of "iowa" and came up with nothing. I checked the /mail again and there isn't an error in our decoding (although the "i" and the "y" are two spaces next to eachother in the word -- "family". Maybe that's a clue?)

I miss to reap

the second line anagrams to "is a imposter" I haven't figured the first yet.

There are some paranormal phenomenon known to cause a person who is dead to fuse with someone living. There is also medical causes for such things, like DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), a psychological disorder that causes someone to develop a different personality), and several conditions caused by envitro-fertilization surgery (due to the high cost of the surgery, it's common to put 2 fertilized eggs in a woman, for a higher chance of pregnancy. If both develop and one dies, it can cause the 2 developing babies to "fuse", smiler to DID. It was on House once) There is also a disorder called schizophrenia, which causes paranoid or bizarre delusions or disorganized speech and thinking in the context of significant social or occupational dysfunction. (I don't know if it's related, but disorganized speech could explain Jeff's tendceny to add extra letters to words). I'm just putting ideas out here, seeing as we are stuck (again lol)

Hello again Lunsford. That is a new and refreshing idea. (a lot better than my - "anagram everything" posts lol) How did you come to that?

EDIT: Thanks Doug. Very Intersting. Also it would explain why we NEVER saw Steve in the videos.

Probably because I watch WAY toooo many scary movies.. or the fact that I am completely absorbed by any kind of psycological phenom.... It just seems like that's what is happening by deductive reasoning Laughing

I mean the guy is *dead* in all physical aspects..

One thing that is strange though, if Steve is Jeff, who was the obituary for?
