When I was texting with Steve's brother on Dan's phone, he asked if i KNOW Steve, not KNEW. I wonder if that was on accidental Freudian slip or what? I'm afraid to try to contact him again though. he told me to wait until he contacted me.

Yeah it seems like a slip to me... I just thought it would be a fresh look on things...


If Dan is the true brother of Steve, woudn't he know that he is dead and we can't KNOW him..??

I never confirmed if it was Dan. It was Dan's phone... i asked him "Is this Dan or Steve?" He replied "I am steves brother. U know him? I must go. I have said too much" word for word reply. I still have the text messages.

so maybe Steve is Jeff in some whacked out way. He is sending us "keys" or hints, whichever suits it at that time... Steve could be trapped inside Jeff. I mean the poor guy can't remember anything (which is the profile of "double personalities" . And it says that Steve is *dead* (for the most part?) Now, Old McDonald guy is somehow connected. That is certain from the "grayed" image in the obituary.

Wow, now if this story takes on this twist, it will definitely be interesting. I can't wait for Jeff to contact us again. I'm leaving my AIM on to see if he pops in so I can chat. we'll see. I'm going to have to re-read all my notes and see if I can start piecing all of this together where it makes sense. Plus, I need to update the wiki also. I'm falling behind cuz I'm lazy.

I hate to burst anyones bubble with this reminder, but we HAVE seen Steve in a video. It was an early video that is no longer available where Steve gives Jeff the envelope with the first pill. So I think he is a separate person from Jeff. If memory serves I also don't think that the "Steve" from the video is the same as the "Steve" in the obit picture. So this could mean that the Steve Jeff knows is a fake. He may be assuming the identity of a dead guy. He disappeared around the time we found the obit because his identity had been compromised. This is of course spec on my part, and it doesn't explain how Steve's brother slipped that he was still alive. Unless he is in on the whole thing. Which, if he's texting from Dan's phone, he probably is. I dunno. So many pieces and none seem to fit.

Thanks for that faeryqueen. I had forgotten since I can no longer watch that video. Which gets me to thinking I need to get videos on the wiki so we don't lose what we do have. Man. my head hurts.

I know, it sucks. I really wish we hadn't lost those first few videos. It would be nice to be able to look back on them. Maybe we could contact Jeff and ask him to repost them on his blog? I'm sure he still has them. That way all of the newer people can see what they've missed.
