How anyone is questioning this site's authenticity is beyond me...
The fact that they use the hacked image is MORE AUTHENTIC imo than less. It's their way of saying "Damn straight we hacked their page," without saying it in a way that they can get sued.
They say that they didn't do it yet refer to the hacker as "ruggedly handsome." I don't see how it could get any more obvious that they are the hackers, they are proud of it, and this is IG.

here here

not to mention the the site was created before the hack.

And they would use a proxy in real life so that they couldn't be tracked down easily.

If even the hack was OOG then I have feeling there would be alot of angry cloverfield fans lynching somebody

I believe its ingame just based on the fact that they did use a proxy. Yes the use of a proxy is different from the other ingame sites but this isn't the same type of organization were dealing with. This organization, if responsible for the hack, would not want to give tagruato management a key to thier front door would they? No, they would rather remain hidden and not easily identifiable until the time is right. Therefor the use of the proxy was for them to harass tagruato without getting the same treatment back. (AKA Retiree who knew to much)

Um, if the hack is OOG you would have seen it on some sort of movie news site somewhere...Headlines of "JJ's Viral Marketing Plan Crashed?" Would be all over the big movie places..I mean honestly, the most hyped movie since forever has it's biggest marketing ploy hacked and you don't see it ANYWHERE?...Seriously...This site is DEFINITELY IG.

Most hyped movie since forever? Definitely not. The most recent trailer helped bring it out into the open, but i still think that outside of the unfiction forums this movie is not nearly as popular as we seem to think it is. Still popular, but not "most hyped movie since forever" status.

In response to the posting: You've Got to Organize to Revolutionize (http://tidowave.com/blog/?p=7#comment-6)
on the page there is a comment that reads like this:

"Greenbear

So glad you guys are standing up to these guys - how do I get more info?"

was this in fact posted by a fan on 11/21 (i.e. two weeks ago)?

I ask this because googling of the name greenbear led me to the site

http://greenbear.vox.com/

which has an image of a giant turtle attacking a city and the user member's face is made to look like cthulhu... since this person has been keeping this "vox blog" since 2006, i assume this site is out of game from a fan of cloverfield.. but I'm trying to get my mind around the facts that someone who appears to be interested in cloverfield was posting responses on tidowave.com two weeks ago..

I doubt it. It would mean someone had time to make quite a few flash animations for the start and Fun Fact page. That kind of work is not quick.
Plus the link for a comment poster does not necessarily mean anything.

Greenbear seems like it would be a very common alias... I mean just because you found a site authored by someone calling himself Greenbear doesn't mean it's the same Greenbear.

i was not implying with my original info that this made it anymore IG or OOG... i just thought it was an unusual series of coincidences that resulted in this..

it could be something as simple as the dates of the comments are misposted... this is a cloverfield fan that found out about this today just like we did and posted a comment.. but it appears it's been there since the beginning of our knowledge of it..

or it could be that someone else knew about this website before us.. and they were a cloverfield fan, but the info didn't trickle to us..

or it could be something more complicated than this.. or a wild coincidence..

I'd like to point out it IS a possibility it is IG, a fan found it, commented, but didn't have anyone to share it with. Not everyone knows of this forum, or all the blogs, or.... wow, this is becoming less and less likely as I say it.

Could our new big lead be OOG? Ohdear, I hope not XP
