I think the demon in the hair is the brain telling the eye to make out pictures it recongizes. In "Forbidden Planet" there was a monster that looks like the fire monster though!

le bandit vert

the only direct hit i get for le bandit vert is this:

http://vk-red.blogspot.com/2006/12/vive-le-bandit-vert.html

for a "well know" group of activists from 1982 they don't left too much traces on the net. not to mention that The Wave is the newest initiative from Les Guerriers de Mère-Terre, we should at least have some info on the main group.

has anyone tried calling the # on the lough creative group site to see if theres anything there? smthn tells they might be the designers of all the sites, looks like they do website design

That was my reasoning behind posting the code from the css - it's possible that this is either the PM group or contracted by them to do the web design.

Just a couple more random thoughts, not comments on IG/OOG, more META than anything.

'T.I.D.O. Wave' is clever, but as an acronym it is incomplete. It is never stated on the tidowave.com site what exactly it stands for. If you had never seen or heard of the hack on Tagruato, then the only mention of TIDOO you'd see is in the first statement:
Quote:
What is The T.I.D.O. Wave?

"Tagruato is destroying our oceans. We are The Wave, rising tall to crash over them and wash the filth away."

and nothing is capitalized to make the abbreviation apparent.

So what does the acronym abbreviate? Tagruato Is Destroying Our... Wave?

Also notice that this is a .com address. Wouldn't a group like this be a .org? Look at Greenpeace for instance - they have both .com and .org registered, but .com redirects to the .org so that it's clear that this is an organization and not a commercial entity. TIDO only has the .com registered.

Its been said that it could be the roman numerals that were on the animals spelling TIDO than the fifth roman numeral was the wave

Roman Numerals what? Where?

There were the roman numerals I, II, III, IV, and V on the animals and the waves. The number the animal had on it corresponded to which order there names went to make 'TIDOWave'.

OOG or IG
Consensus?

Am I right that we still have no consensus on whether this site is OOG or IG? Did anyone ever post the WHOIS, I looked at it, it seemed similar to the boldfutura.org stuff, maybe I am just imagining things. Thoughts?

If this is a gamejack, it's been done in a very convincing way. Achieving a backdated domain registration would be the most slick and clever tactic yet - but of course is not impossible.

There's nothing yet that's totally definitive to make this IG, but there's also no absolute deal breaker to make it OOG. We haven't seen any updates or changes anywhere to tell us what the truth is, but let's just hope it appears.

If this is authentic it's the most irregular of the sites we've seen yet. It lacks a Google urchin tracker, doesn't use it's available domain based emails (which are just as 'anonymous' to the outsider as Gmail), and borrows heavily from a 3rd party (Wordpress). The odd references and 'loose ends' made are incongruous in a way we've not seen from the other sites - and even the 3rd party content (MySpace, PhotoBucket, Menuism). It's always been clear where connections begin and end and they've always pointed very plainly to each other, but here it's not the case.

Pray to the 'PMs' to give us a sign!

IG or not, I ask that you guys look at, and maybe explain for me, something that I just recently found.

On the right side bar of tidowave.com, on the Cruel-etin Board, on the note "Unique Fauna On The Brink". In the middle paragraph of that note, the writer talks about Earth Blood (at first I'm thinking sea nectar)... but then the writer goes on to ask, "Will you be able to look your child in the eye when they ask what happened to the Sunda Anemone and explain to them that you needed to power your John Deere?!"

Powering a John Deere takes oil... so wait. Does that mean that Tagruato is in the oil business as well? Or is their search for 'sea nectar' just a facade to hide their true desire: oil mining.

That comment really stuck out to me. And as of right now, I don't know what to think of it. Any thoughts?

There's no mistaking that part of Tagruato's business is oil, especially considering the references made on it's site. ParafFun is pretty certainly just their brand of paraffin wax, they were an 'energy company', and made polystyrene and other petroleum based synthetics.

I think it's clear that Tagruato is aware of other deep ocean resources and that's where the kaitei no mitsu comes in.

That's what I thought, Euchre. Thanks for the clarification.

And MrToasty, looking at the picture you just posted, I am simply amazed that you guys were able to spot those roman numerals. That would take either (a) keen eyes, or (b) a really zoom feature on your browswer -- (a) sounds more incredible, so I'll just go with that one.

I have a theory about the "almost extinct" exotic fauna the Sunda Anemone. Since it doesn't really seem to exist.. could it be the originator of the seabed nectar? Or could it be a more formal name for the sea bed nectar? And Tagruato is harvesting so much of it that it's almost completely vanished.

Maybe?
