That "barge" is funky. We live on a major west coast port - Never seen anything like it for ocean use. That barge is weird. This photo is of a deep draft dredge.
That image JJ sent is not your typical barge either. You usually do not use a free roaming backhoe/excavator for that kind of work on the ocean only on a river and in rare cases. There are barges where the backhoe/excavator is secure to the platform but again normally for river use only.
The deep water dredge, in fact that same one in the image above is what we use on the coast here to dredge out our bay for large container ships to pass. This type of dredge would not be used in super deep water like where the Chewbacca station is.
Just for laughs, check this out -

found the barge?? i sincerely think that the barge says "Callao" it would make sense since it seems to be the area where the barge was made. Callao is the largest port/shipyard in Peru i dont know why jj would want us looking at a shipyard in peru but check this out.

scroll down a bit i think i may have found our barge.

Re: found the barge?? way cool, but?? steel barge that could carry a 180-ton excavator and related equipment for digging a sub-sea piping canal.
? Are there shallow areas of water around NYC that this could be used in?
In the thread "JJ" started, I asked "Why would a backhoe be needed at the Chuai Station?" The thread was deleted before I got an answer.

So am i an idiot? When I first looked up 01-18-08 after Transformers that is what I found, and not much else. Just recently I found Unfiction. I do not wish to be associated with the majority of crap found on the Imdb board. but I do believe there are a players over there involved in the film marketing.

And OH By the Way. Since you seem to be ignoring all of my posts and since you don't care to explain why this is the exact same picture from this website http://www.algor.com/news_pub/cust_app/SIMA/default.asp AND since you are a new poster, I am calling you out. How do we know YOU weren't the poster of this picture??? Oh by the way, The picture is PROBABLY under a copywrite, so I HOPE you have the authority to use it!!

I am not computer savy enough to do what you claim. I can't explain why the picture is the same, hence no response. And yup I'm new, just as I said in my first post. I knew when I wrote it it may or may not be anything. I wanted the opinion of those who seem to know much more than me here at unfiction. And I'm not here to bait anyone into an argument, just to have fun figuring this out.
