Well I'm guessing it's too late, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is the ship date of iconsumer's packages vs the others. This could provide an 'out' for those claiming to have gotten the note, or could provide serious evidence against the authenticity of the notes.

I think the 'low post count' is not so much accurate, as new members bursting onto the scene with 'amazing finds'. More often than not they've been gamejacks or at very least impulsive trout. If you're a 'short timer' and your first post is some earthshattering find, history points to it being a gamejack. Sadly, that means any potentially genuine find from a source like that is going to be questioned seriously, even ruthlessly.
But hey, this may be via the internet - but it's still life.
It's not all going to be honey and roses.

I belive that This Is IG, i belive that this is all part of thier plan to make us not think its ture and make us not want to follow what the "whistle blower" is trying to warn us about.

he might be american working at one of the sites and want to warn us but can only send a few out

we cant all have one its not like that in the real world we cant all get that proof he can only send as many as he can

Has anyone every tried honey and roses? I think they would make an interesting culinary combination...

But anyway, what Euchre said pretty much sums everything up. I wanted to see the boxes for the sole purpose that that could be the one thing that irrefutably confirmed the IG-ness of the memos (weirdly, iconsumer made some sort of weird comment about how, if they were a gamejacker, they would go out of their way to find the precise correct box for the purpose of gamejacking - weird, but the guy's allowed his skepticism, this is an ARG forum, there's going to be the "LAWLITZIG" people, the people who sit back with their tea and mutter "This is utterly OOG, pip pip" and those that sit on the fence (like I commonly do) until the evidence points either way). It's a shame that iconsumer feels the need to leave us after such productivity all over a memo that may or may not (but is most likely) IG, but there's a growing trend of stir-craziness among our members (SuperSquirrel, no hard feelings, but seriously...), mainly because of the utter unpredictability of this ARG, which is screwing up so much for us. However, in the end, this is how an ARG is played (I presume, this is my first) and it's nobody's place to get up on their high horse for one point or another.

And rkr7, next time, don't send me a PM asking for support. No offense, but I'll make my own decisions, k? K. Smile

Now, in the words of Euchre, let's play nice.

Oh man. You know, they make a caffeine free Pepsi. What nonsense do you speak of? Last time I checked, the guys on CSI are pretty thorough too. Just let it pan out and we will see what happens. Patience.

Even though I may think it is phony, that does not prevent me from looking for clues and still proceeding as if it is real. Besides a comment does not prevent you from doing your own investigation.

You know, if I'd come here with this really cool thing I'd found in my Slusho! merch box, excited and happy to contribute something, only to be whacked over the head repeatedly with suspicion stick, it might hurt my attitude a little too. What I don't understand about the IG-Vs-OOG argument here is: what's the payoff? A fair bit of work would have had to go in to this alleged jack, just so the jackers could... confirm... what... we've... all... suspected... since... Tagruato... was... found. Yeah. It just makes sense, doesn't it? All this elaborate planning to confirm a tangential detail and not to lead everyone down some path where secrets grow like fruits.

If I was going to fuck with someone's day, I'd do it with style- not some going-nowhere memo. It held everyone's attention for a day- if that!- until it was translated and written off because it contained nothing new. The lack of novelty makes it IG. That, and as The Effect thread proves, writing IG from and OOG perspective isn't easy. Most people aren't diligent enough to pull it off. Smile

Edit: I have 65 posts. If it'll help their credibility, rkr7 and Elaralas can split them up between them. Laughing

Not everyone has . ..

Unfortunately, not all can have such style.

Edit: This is my last comment, I will now wait for the movie like a normal person.

Greed, then. Gamejackers are greedy, in a way, because they need their work to have attention paid to it, to know that what they've done is being watched and taken seriously (witness the boldfutura.jp/boldfutura.org webmasters). There is nothing in this memo that so much as hints at a deeper meaning; what you see is what you get.

Compare it to the Glass Helmets myspace: convincing songs, blog updates referencing other possibly IG sites, weird tag artifacts that resolve to Chinese characters in hex. If the GH page/tidowave.com end up being OOG, those are gamejacks with style; they would have made a great many people jump through a great many hoops, with a huge payoff in frustrated unfictioners. See what I mean? Calling this a gamejack just doesn't make sense, it's too safe.

(for the record, I think they're both IG. Just using them to make a point.)

I've been reading the various forums since late August, checking in every few days or so. I only just started reading these forums last week, and I get the general idea behind whats expected (use the search button! research before you post, all that stuff).
Anyway, I decided I should make an account. I'm posting because I ordered a slusho! shirt the other day, and if I got some crazy stuff included in the box I wanted to establish.. I dunno, prescedence I guess.

EDIT: I forgot to add, this is my first ARG.

Welcome Chucklehead. Suspicions and Skepticism are a norm. Some of the people here work tirelessly to crack the code of these games and as a result, get sick and tired of working hours to run something down only to have it be a fake.

Have fun Chuck!

It would not be very 'realistic' if the exact same memo or variations thereof would appear in every slusho shipment.

See it as the Golden Ticket. Maybe a couple more were sent out but those who received it may not even aware of this board..
- bless their cotton socks.

Well, reason why I post is that I noticed that there is only one half of a memo, and that the handwritten note says more will come.

I've ready lots of the posts and such, is there a good place to read up on the mentality of an "ARGer"?

Easy answer.

The letter is IG.

Tagruato is now carefully searching all items that are shipped from their factories/offices.

Any scraps of paper with incriminating evidence are dealt with accordingly.

Or so I believe.

Thanks to the few people who've PM'd me. I appreciate the kind words.

I just wanted to say, for those who care, that it's all good, and beyond other things, I just really don't have time for forums like I used to.

Once again, thanks to everyone who made this experience pleasant!
