Yes we have, that's what me, euchre and patrick have been discussing.

whose to say the comments are where the clues will be.

The rest of your insight is appreciated and makes good sense as well. Smile

Errr, well, apologies all round if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression you guys were discussing the muddledness of the comments and how it would stifle any clues and how it's not moderated etc. etc. What I meant by saying that was that maybe everyone's missing the whole idea that a clue could be a blog rather than a comment, and that all this debating about comments could be hot air.

Well that was there point. I was taking the stance you made, along with others. But, I think I took my responses a little to in depth. It's finals week for me and I have an operating systems project due, So my posts are starting to reflect my desperation lately, specially since they are in the more confrontational end of the spectrum, but I'll admit it takes some of the stress away to argue. So yeah, This is thread is good for me because I Like matching wits with people and this has provided many a good opportunity for that. And now I am starting to ramble. Well, anyway if any one has some more pro OOG points I can argue it would be much appreciated. Otherwise I might have to focus on my project.

I want to take this opportunity to bring up the name thing again, as no one has provided a reasonable reason why.

Lets compare it to the other movements: P.E.A.K Offensive, and D.R.A.I.N movement. Peak is about mountains and the name relates, as does drain. T.I.D.O.Wave, however is different. Its a play on the word tidal-wave, it would seem, which when compared to the other names, makes no sense. It would seem the only reason to have it as such is to fit it in with the hack picture. A play on T.I.D.O.O (Tagruato is destroying our oceans).

Also, you compare it to the others: Peak offensive and drain movement, now wave could be similar to that, but then the TIDO is left by itself.

So to me, the name is a very strange and muddled one.

Waves move, though. Tagruato Is Destroying Oceans- and here's a Wave of information regarding aformentioned company???

"tidowave" sounds "engrish" enough, and the target a japanese corporation...

Who says an environmental organisation needs a logical name anyway:
GreenPeace sounds like vegetables and Bellona (a Norwegian based organization which work with nuclear waste in northern Russia on behalf of the EU) is named after a roman goddess...

Tidowave is a play on the word Tidal wave. Tagruato is Destroying Oceans fits the acronym perfectly. I wouldn't invest anything more into the name. Another thing that just occurred to me: Ti Do...like in musical modes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Properties_of_musical_modes.

Edit: Never mind the musical mode business.. It ain't Ti Do but Si Do.

Sounds more like a museum exhibit on web sound formats of the 90s.

TIDO, with the pending attack on New York city by the Corporate Monster known as Cloverfield, why would you not warn the public if you have knowledge of this virus? If you care about the Earth and it's free spirited inhabitants, why not podcast the warning 24/7?

Perhaps I was too vague.

EDIT: Oh wait, did not see the awaiting moderation thing. Maybe not.

So far the comments i posted as greenbear and nicfacer, or whatever that guys name was, have not been posted. So, if they don't approve them ever, it probably means those names are IG characters and we should look out for their comments. As For T.I.D.O.wave And P.E.A.K, and D.R.A.I.N, The reason for these names seems to be that they associate with the type of movement that they are supporting at the time. What the letters actually stand for seems Inconsequential, They could stand for the animal names from the hack pic. I can think of only two companies whose names were acronyms and the letters didn't stand for anything(I couldn't find what they stood for anyway, so if you know please correct me). T.U.M.E from liberty city stories was like a construction company and H.A.L. labs from 2001 a space oddyssey. I'm sure there's more examples, where the word play is more important then the definition.

Also the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D in undercover brother

Also H.A.R.M. from the game no one lives forever

Well.. Technically it stood for something.. but not directly.
Move each of those letters one further along in the alphabet and what do we get?

H -> I
A -> B
L -> M

Cool
