[DK][UPDATE] ATasteForTheTheatrical.com (via new posters) New one-sheets have been popping up all day, premiering at different websites, but aintitcool.com has been linking to all of them as soon as they hit:
Batman:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35056
Joker:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35066
Joker:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35072
And this, the trailer (NOT the 6-min prologue, and very poor quality mobile phone video):
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35061
(seems like the vid has been taken down from youtube, but a quick look in the talkback section will provide links to freshly uploaded copies)
I guess not everyone is playing the game, so there's a massive audience that needs to be pulled in via traditional advertising means, but am I the only one a little disappointed that these weren't part of the ARG?

Oh, man... This is a brilliant movie poster! (minus the guy's reflection of course =P)
and checking for TDK trailers on youtube, just look for the most recent 'new' TDK Trailers; it's still available, they're just getting taken down pretty quick as they're discovered.

sorry double post...
there's more - the poster I linked above (what people are calling the 'fourth poster') is the North American poster among the other international posters, and apparently this one has a cryptic message under the website at the bottom (I haven't been able to find a high-res image of it yet). Word from people who have seen the poster is that it decodes to a taste for the theatrical
which of course now leads to ATasteForTheTheatrical.com
I'm updating the thread title to reflect this update - the poster is (slightly) tied to the ARG.
Lots of speculation about what's actually going to be downloadable at the website - high res trailer, 6 minute preview, some other something... *shrug*

I took out some of the ad but here's what makes me think we'll be able to download the 6 minute short film on Sunday.
I hope so.

I hope its the 6 minute tease, but I doubt it. Probably gonna save that for the DVD
Maybe its high-res versions of the posters?

I've got a pretty good feeling about it being the 6 minutes in front of "I Am Legend"
-It's a modified ad for a Trailer
-It says you can see it on display now ("I Am Legend" opened today)
Hopefully multiple versions will be available too (I'd want it on my PSP).

Woo, I was just going to ask where a taste for the theatrical came from, thanks for the explanation. So is atasteforthetheatrical site related to the joker myspace in some way?

well I just went to see I Am Legend (pretty good, but it's hard for me to not like a movie )
It was't IMAX, but the first preview trailer was Batman, and the same botegged trailer that's been posted. Nothing new.
But it was entertaining hearing a few girls in the packed theatre gasp in shock and fear when the first closeup of the Joker's face suddenly popped on screen teehee
(srsly, people jumped!)

Looking at the odd trailer name, found I was way to slow: (Doh)
"features a "Fin High Edition" — an anagram for "High Definition" ...'
"Farsbaurough" is an odd spelling that wouldn't anagram or .com or .net for me.

nice catch with the anagram!
Has anyone been able to find Farsbaurough Drive on the map of Gotham?
I'm looking, but no luck yet.
Map: http://maplib.net/map.php?id=2096

edit:
I found "Farsbourough Avenue" in squares O1 and P1 on the map, across the river from South Hinkley. This is spelled a little differently, and an Avenue instead of a Drive...

I feel like such a pessimist, but...
Do you think it'll be that easy? I mean, we've had to work for the other trailers and goodies.
Just saying. Now, F5 F5 F5 F5!

Snowbound speculation.
Cause the coded posters are not supposed to be out yet, what are the odds this is meant for next Sunday?

If that were true I don't think the site would be live - they've been running a pretty tight ship on this game so far and it seems a stretch that they'd make a slip like that.

I agree we really haven't found things before they were meant to be found.
