I disagree, and I highly doubt Abrams has anything to do with the ARG at this point, if he ever did.

Plus, I mean- there has been no previous venture into this whole wiccan thing anyways... I'm almost positive that Jamie said that she was a Wiccan as some sort of joke or something. I mean, in a movie- most wiccans usually fit the stereotype of someone dressed in gothic clothing. But again, we've heard no previous venture about this new moon stuff... I think at this point in the A.R.E. there is a solid outline of what this movie is about and the direction it's going with the A.R.E.

Right, before this goes off on a tangent, I'm not saying that it DEFINITELY has something to do with Wicca or the New Moon.

The New Moon bit I think will still play into it but possibly on a purely symbolic level.

I was just thinking out loud mostly.

We'll see soon enough anyway.

Or maybe we won't.

Most ideas are somewhat generic. It depends on what kind of spin the writer puts on it. "People stranded on an island" is pretty generic too, but Lost is a highly original show. Tying an ARG into this film and having it shot entirely with a camcorder, which makes the whole experience that much more frightening and realistic, is a pretty good route to take the idea down.

This is the new moon from the Date to the Hour to the Minute. I don't know the exact time this is, but what if she opened it right then to, let's say. Make sure to get the whole benefit of the new moon?

Yeah, but he was still the guy who wanted to make it. He got the idea from seeing Godzilla toys in Japan and thinking about how the US doesn't have a scary giant monster.

LOL, minor plot point, which we haven't actually confirmed, only based on a second long clip in the trailer, either way, we'll see soon enough. Technically December 9 is some fraction of a day past the official new moon, not sure when it is officially new moon though.

Oops, Im wrong. Its the second day on the Hebrew week, but still sunday. The new moon is at precisely 6:38:10 pm tonight.
