if i'm correct Randi might be a girl, that is if that was how it was spelt on Tido, i looked on myspace and most every profile with the name Randi was a female

and a theory on that, what if Randi is his Ex?

This is kind of reaching, but trying to string a few things together:

From accounts on the effects of SLUSHO!! on satisfied customers, it seems as if the drink may actually have some kind of tangible physical and mental effect upon the people who drink it.

If the "deep sea nectar" is drastically more powerful or has the capability to become some kind of mutagen in an unfit-for-eating-state (thawed, rotten, outdated, unprocessed, etc) it's possible that Tagruato has known as much but has been covering it up and keeping it from damaging sea life local to the drilling sites in a major way via very stringent containment -- or they didn't realize the scale of the impact it would have on animals because of said containment. Maybe either way, preliminary tests on animals showed that Bad Things would happen if they were exposed to the unfit nectar, so they knew that containment was a must, but being an Evil Major Corporation, they eventually got curious, or they got sloppy.

So, say something has gone wrong at this latest drilling site. There's some kind of accident where there's a leak in the system and they find out certain animals (fish, octopus, crabs, doesn't really matter) that came into contact with the result have been altered in a bad way. Ohshit! Not wanting to hint that something has gone wrong, maybe they run out and snatch up a few animals to use for testing (to see exactly how bad it can get) without raising eyebrows by trying to obtain these animals through more official means. Why else randomly drop in on a "remote" animal control center and dump a bunch of free Slushos on the lower wage grunts?

Sounds like a good way to make a few fluffy puppies and kittens vanish without any questions asked! Given that Marlena is the only one at this point in time who seems like she might have a high chance of ingesting the nectar in a wonky state, it might well explain why she's the only one who seems afflicted with the explodey disease in pics and the trailer. If he caught wind of the afflicted sea animals, it might also explain why they're literally holding Teddy and not letting him go instead of putting him through proper legal channels for being an invasive tree-hugging prat, too.

Edit: Operating under the assumption that TIDO is IG thanks to the new Randy thing, this could also have something to do with them killing off their head marine biologist and his entire family recently. Knowing too much, saying things they don't like, or whatever else prior to his abrupt retirement.

well I agree with most of the stuff here...

The Whistle Blower is not Teddy, but someone he knows. Most likely Japanese (thus the whole "American" thing in the writing)

I def. think Randy/Randi (not sure yet) will contact her and she'll (jamie) will help... although it might be too late and that evidence may have just gone too long w/o freezing... oh and marlena eats it...

I dont think this will be her last video cause we have to know what he says at the end... if it is then maybe we'll see that recording device on eBay or something... that'd be pretty cool...

First off, I'll have to say I'm impressed with the amount of detail that you guys have predicted would be in this one.

I have a few (supposed) answers - ok... one answer, one speculation.... ok, both speculation!

1. The picture hanging up is OOG. In this video, you seem to get a clearer picture of it and I definitely recognize it. It's a "Senior Page" - you know, one of those pages that seniors write in year books that shows their picture and then "wills" out their stuff. Ok, the guys in here may not know what I'm talking about, but the girls will. Smile

The format is EXACTLY the same as the year book from a girls camp that is popular with the rich, spoiled, into-themselves girls from NY. I'll see if I can dig up one of my old ones to scan in if anyone's interested. Smile

I would suspect that they are filming in someone's house and just pulled stuff from the girl's room, or it belongs to the actress. Either way, its not important.

2. Re the freeze ASAP. Obviously Teddy sent this to her months ago, knowing that there was a plan for December 8th (7th?). He knew that it would not be frozen until at least Dec 9th. Jamie's stupid, but we can assume that Teddy's not. I'm sure that it's something that "hatches" or develops in some way after x number of days. I would hope that Teddy would give her some fudge time and, for example, give her a sample that needed to be frozen in 3 months.

He put freeze ASAP because he knows her.... if he put "freeze any time you feel like it", she'd find it under her bed 3 months from now....
