Ephemeral
Nitpickalicious

Just curious as to the logic behind the new bit in the archive. Why the name "Ephemeral"? According to the OED:

Quote:
2. a. In more extended application: That is in existence, power, favour, popularity, etc. for a short time only; short-lived; transitory.

That fits, in my mind, none of the games there (EDOC, YZ, and SC). Maybe "On Hiatus" or "Not Really Playing" is a better fit?

I think that Space meant that the game's time in the Archive was "short-lived or transitory."

Hmm, probably. Even in that case, the name rubs me the wrong way.

I like Ephemeral, as ephemera was sort of a username of mine for some time.

At any rate, it's just a name.

I still think that that name is a tiny little piece of art in its own right. But I'm biased Cool
