For one month actually, but honestly we don't know anything really about the specifics of storage concerning the DSI, so there could be many reasons why it needs to be frozen at some point. Perhaps unfrozen, it is nothing but when refrozen it is once again DSI. Hard to say, but I wouldn't say it makes no sense.

EDIT: Did we really need a whole new thread for this? There is one specifically about the package already started.

Because...

Okay, I got nothing.

It really doesn't make much sense, does it? Unless it has to be in a cooled state for it to become active or something. Or maybe its been slowly growing/chemical'ing, and the knew by what date that the packet would need to be frozen.

Well, if you follow my DSI are extremophiles idea it makes sense. The packaging seems pretty hardcore (tinfoil or something) so maybe it's to keep oxygen or moisture from it. But if it's thawed and added to a cocktail, watch-out.

[EDIT] sorry posted after you did^^^^^

Well, the bugs / nectar / cells of the monster can survive extreme depths and temperature, so why not the extremes hazards of FedEx travel.

Just be glad the evidence didn't land on an island with a castaway and a talking volleyball. Razz
