Honestly, I think that the span tag is the right place to be looking. I don't know a whole lot about css, but they could probably have that ID defined as anything in the css page, so that could be a place to hide a phone number. The fact that two of the new blogs mention contacting him and we have a ten digit number hidden in a span tag for seemingly no other purpose....come on.

This is the css page, nothing there:
http://tidowave.com/blog/wp-content/themes/tido/style.css

I don't know what the yshortcuts class means, it's not listed in the css but it's used in other websites.

I would like to also point out that I think myspace.com/theglasshelmets is IG because of these blogs.

The blogs state that a week before 14th was an potential event, discussed in the meeting before. On the 3rd The Glass Helmets stated meeting in a rally next week, so this is quite a bit of correlation. Granted, they could have just been lucky.

There is something called "array slicing" when you have a set of numbers. Here is what I found in Wiki:
Details
For "one-dimensional" (single-indexed) arrays — vectors, sequence, strings etc. — the most common slicing operation is extraction of zero or more consecutive elements. Thus, if we have a vector containing elements (2, 5, 7, 3, 8, 6, 4, 1), and we want to create an array slice from the 3rd to the 6th items, we get (7, 3, 8, 6). In programming languages that use a 0-based indexing scheme, the slice would be from index 2 to 5.

Now, I tried this with a sequence using Swiss Army Knife (just as practice). I used the numbers derived from those 3 words:
19 23 9 19 19 1 18 13 25 11 14 9 6 5 and sliced them every 7 numbers in on either side. (getting 19 1 18 13 25) I knew it was a long shot and wasn't expecting to get any numbers of value except to see if this "slicing" actually resulted in a number order of any kind. Could this possibly be used in any of these numbers you all are coming up with?

Or am I thinking too much about this? Sad

I've not been paying attention to them, but I seriously don't think that it's gamejacking. rerecording a song from a video clip is just as silly theory as the theories about hacking targuato to promote a tidowave gamejack.

It could possibly be a 'cybersquatting' of a real band, that happens on myspace all the time, but I think it's either I.G. or friends of the crew.

Quote:
Hey there,

Could you resend me the number for Randy's green mobile? I need to get in touch to find out the details for the next event.

Thanks a ton, feel better, and keep on rockin.

Josh

I'll mention if anything comes of it.

so we have an array right here:
(numbers assocociated with words).

1. "Warm towel"
2. Dried fruit
3. Small comb
4. Jerky
5. Flare gun
6. Swiss Army Knife
7. Compass

maybe it is the same game like the hack. but we have to find the number in which order we have to put together the words above.
maybe the numbers on the right side, "tagruato fun facts"?

It is as far as internet terms go... but it's normally used for people taking domain names that somebody else claims they have the right to own. Usually celebrity names.
There have been court cases about it.

Does anyone else think this is odd, he signs up, posts one very good post which translates the blog (sort of) and thats it, could this be one of the "insiders" we here about Very Happy Very Happy ooooooooh

I'm new to all of this, and so I went for the most simple interpretation.

But thanks, Matthew. It's always nice to make a good first impression.

"He"? Ahem.

4. Jerky

6. Swiss Army Knife
7. Compass

also the words are all around the same length: 4555545535457 (4 letters in warm, 5 in towel...)
4+5+5+5+5+4+5+5+3+5+4+5+7=62
but with two ' " ' as a sign it would make 64.

I tried to take the letter in the word equal to the number before it but it makes no sense unfortunately:

WrakeAs

(even if i find it odd, that exactly the last word has 7 letters)

I decided to copy and send the post to my Yahoo email and see what would happen to the yshortcut. It is valid and gives a normal Yahoo popup when you click it. Attached are images of what pops up. The only interesting thing is the top hit for the web search, an obituary page:

The effect we're getting w/ Swiss Army Knife sometimes happens when the yahoo email shortcut kicks in and doesn't mix w/ the HTML coded on the website.

I'm emailing any referred "SwissArmyKnife" yahoo addies to see what I get.

We've got a lot of straws around here, so I'll grasp at a couple myself. I might even catch a fish or two. Very Happy

Pre-paid cellphones are relatively cheap now ($20 if you don't want/need bells and whistles), so it wouldn't be a stretch to think Randy would have multiple phones for TIDOWave communications. Him referring to it as "mobile" does suggest he's not from the U.S., most likely European (maybe some trend-whore who like to speak with a bad European accent) or just to simply indicate he is mobile and trying to locate him physically will be difficult (maybe there is/was a Green Landline).

These phone code be coded using a color scheme similar to the Homeland Security Advisory System or most simplistically, a traffic signal.

Green = Go (obviously)
Yellow = Caution, be careful during communications
Red = Alert, mission/agent compromised (cut and run)

Using my runaway train of thought, The mission is a "go", and we need to contact Randy to find out the rally point and/or specifics.

It might not further our search for the phone's number, but it's my take on the phone references.

Rearranging the letters in "Swiss Army Knife", you can come up with "Fwisky Seminar".

So I guess, not only is Elmer Fudd running the TIDOWave website, but he might be bringing sexy back at the next meeting.

Why does he want to bring sexy back? Is it broken? Our return policy is for exchange or store credit only.
