I'm gonna laugh my damned ass off if this is how the beginning of the movie goes down, for many many reasons.

I didn't read the review, but I found it amusing that the OP refers to the people he/she worked with on this mysterious movie blog as "colleagues". There's something absurd with just that.

I used to work for a very prominant movie blog online which has been following "Cloverfield" since the very first trailer. In two days it will be a month since I left this blog for what we'll just call "personal reasons", but before I so abruptly left I was able to see the first twenty minutes of the movie with two of my other colleagues.

See, I stopped right here because that; kind of says it all really...

I too, have seen the movie! I, along with my associates, all whom were released for bloggy personal reasons regarding to some obscure NDA stuff and the mafia, and thusly must remain silent. However, I risk great danger to fill you in on the movie, as I realize you are faithful, true fans, that want to know more about the movie.

I remember some parts better than others, it was fairly chaotic from start to finish you realize!

So I'll highlight the points I remember bestly:

A big ol' party.. they yelled "surprise!" and he seemed surprised. Suddenly there is a roar and then.. as they go to get a better look, an explosion!! Downtown! And then the HEAD of the Statue of Liberty comes careening off of a building and down the street, I shit you not.

Then Rob was talking to the camera some, and shortly thereafter some jets bombed the creature.. but he DIDN'T DIE!

Then the army got involved, mostly sitting around on some bunks, and then all our partygoers were running away and stuff. Then against the wishes of one of the partygoers, they go DOWNTOWN. I don't recall why, but they did.

They were stopped at one point by an Army guy, whose face was kinda fuzzy. Then they took the girl, and she kinda grew big, and either exploded or mutated, I don't remember which.

Then they hid in a convenience store, and it broke out all the windows, just wait 'til you see THAT scene! Then some more army guys shoot at the creature a lot, but it doesn't die.

They run from stuff in a park and subway, and then they crash in a helicopter.

That's the most important bits I could remember, like I said, it was pretty darned chaotic! And Slusho! is involved.. but I can't tell you more. Shocked

ok.. that's my in-depth review of the movie, and I would think you can see from what I've disclosed (at great personal risk to myself), you know I'm telling the truth, and you are in for a good time at this movie!

Only 25 minutes? I think the movie will be 85 minutes of party footage, 4 minutes of arguing about eleven dollars, thirty seconds of running from the monster and finally, in a huge twist, thirty seconds of removed at request of Paramount in a 100% legit request Shocked

Oh, and credits.

And the title is actually not "Cloverfield" (it was working title), but

"ELEVEN"
