I think we just had a miscommunication. I didn't mean they're off the island for season 4. I think that flash-forward isn't for a LONG LONG while....few seasons at the least.
I'm still confused why charlie is there...

Sublymonal played a part in The Lost Experience...

But anyway, I think it's pretty safe to assume LOST and Cloverfield are NOT connected.

Also, Slusho! has NEVER appeared in Lost! I wish people would stop saying it has!

Another famous example of this occured a few years back when the shows The Practice and (IIRC) Law and Order had several episodes w/ the characters and plots crossing over between them.

Same production company (writer/producer) and general location (Boston) but seperate television networks.

Same way they had a show called Prison Break when the characters had already broken out of prison.

Somehow I seriously doubt that the characters in Lost are going to be persued by people who, if they manage to apprehend them, will throw them back on the island (analogy is full of fail).

Prison Break (a show I could never take seriously because I can't buy that the blind dude from Contact would be hunting fugatives) is about characters who break out of prison and become fugatives from justice. The fugative/conspiracy thing is part of the whole prison-breakage experience. Lost is about being lost on an island with lots of weird shit going on. Taking out the island, and being lost, and what are you left with? Just a bunch of weird stuff going on. Might as well call it "Some Werid Shit".

My personal belief is that they never were on an island but that, in reality, they were on the Holodeck of the starship Enterprise the whole time. Expect Captian Picard, Doctor Moriarty, and Evil Lincoln to make cameo appearances. Note to JJ: Make it so.
