Rue de St. Germaine

This is not so much spec as it is an observation. Enoch has been prodding us to look at maps, so that's what I have been doing. If there is one street in Push that seems wildly out of character (yes, I already know ocean references in the desert are very odd) it would be the Rue de St. Germaine. It should be obvious why the name caught my attention, but what I think is very interesting is that Saint Germaine Cousin is the patron saint of abused children. I am beginning to think that Mary's relationship with Sloman is important to the storyline and not just something included for shock value.

i agree on the simple basis of his comment to her, ' only i see you for what you really are...'

i also wouldn't be surprised if the old man in martha's kitchen doesn't turn out to be jimbo's dad.

Personally, I think that Jim's mom abused him and she drank too much. His father was leaving her..."going to the office". He knew he would not see his father again so he stowed away in the trunk.
Actually, Jims father moved to Push, Nevada, and later died of a "suicide". When he left Jim and his mother, he left his wedding band (divorce) that is why Jim still wears it. He really isn't married, it is his fathers wedding band that he wears.
He is really going to Push, Nevada to find his dad... that is the mystery.

I can go on and on... but if anyone is interested I will post more of my theory.

Hi there, mottjr, dj_mystique and Debbie,

You might like my recent "wild spec."
It connects to some of what you are saying.

Then again... ???? *shrugs*

BTW, thank you for the sharp-eyed pick-ups on a lot of this stuff.
It's been interesting and helpful. Smile
