In the spirit of Chrismahanuzaa, I'd like 12 days of speculation, followed by 8 days and 8 nights of non-stop hype, and then a week of reflecting on what the hell we're doing with our time. I would also like a pony, but something tells me I'm going to get a giant crab with homicidal dandruff instead. That St. Nick fella's sure got a sick sense of humor.

But in all seriousness, I would really like some more action. Vid 5 hinted at it (Teddy's been kidnapped!)...but then it all just kind of faded away (Jamie's an idiot). As nice as character interaction is, lord knows I don't watch 24 for its intense interpersonal drama.

Edit: ZOMGF! First time I've gotten first post on a page in 74 posts! I must really suck at this...

Let's see, I would like:

1) To finally understand the significance of the cheese, hammer and oven mitt.

2) At least one clear, unambiguous view of the monster in the movie, preferably in broad daylight.

3) More wacky Slusho commercials!

4) To truly understand why the movie is called "Cloverfield", and know whether that was always going to be the title or not.

5) To have Jamie be the lone survivor, confounding everyone who thinks she's just a "red shirt".

6) For the movie to be good enough that I walk out thinking that six months of following it online, and the tremendous loss of productivity at my job this year have all been worth it.

That's it. Six items seems appropriate.

Well, some my wishes are just realized, so

1) Tagruato's appeareance in the real life media (like Hanso did it), perhaps with some disclaimer about various ehm inculpations
2) Continuation of HUD's co-interactive fiction
3) More video footage, but perhaps not from the movie. I mean: something about Tagruato or its opponents
4) continuation of Cloverfield universe for long long years (even if with new protagonists, if our Clover-pals will be eaten by monster)

I'm with you on #5 and #6 fo sho. I so hope this movie lives up to the hype we have created here. I seriously am going to have withdrawals after the movie when this all dies down on these forums. I am sure for a few weeks after the discussion here will continue but what then? And how awesome would it be for Jamie to be the lone survivor. Ha! That would be great. Smile

You wear the oven mitt to protect your hand while you use the hammer to smash the cheese. Seems pretty clear cut to me... Unless you want to get all metaphorical.
