thats pretty convincing actually....

but i still dont think it housed Grumps. It was probably everyone from the station fleeing to the nearest port. and i just opened a huge possibility.

they woke him but he wasnt fully unhibernated so they made like stink for NY. but grumps followed his nose. caught them in the harbor and thought "while im here....." cue the rampage.

Yes! Thanks for that gif. I was trying to see it as if it were rotated 90 degrees clockwise, which didn't quite make sense, but your orientation resolves that problem.

 		Notice the hands are there, good find and also thanks for the convincing animation, it sold me thats' a Tagruato tanker. The monster may not have been that big when it was first put in the tanker, maybe it's been eating alot of Seabeds' nectar. The reference on the Tagruato site of making tankers doubled hulled was for some reason.

 		What the heck is happening in this thead? Please stop pointless personal attacks. Not only is it getting tedious, but also it clutters the thread. If you need to fight with someone, please take it to PMs and spare everyone else. I prefer my model of letting things slide, but if you really need to vent, you can always PM me.

I'm serious about raising the tone of the discourse here. We finally have some new things to discuss, so please pitch in and discuss them, politely and without personal attacks. People can disagree and still respect each others points of view.

Seriously, guys we can all do better.

Thanks so much. And many thanks to the great majority of community members here who are constructive, helpful, curious and great folks to hang around with. Smile

People have noted, of course, that Jamie cannot be seen in the teaser, the trailer, or in the new clip. However, I noticed that Beth also seems to be missing from the clip. In the teaser, she clearly makes an appearance telling Rob to "have fun in Japan". But we don't see her anywhere in the clip, and she doesn't appear to be part of the little reunion that Rob, Lil, Marlena, Hud, and Jason have out on the street. If they were so worried about where Jason was, why wouldn't they also be worried about where Beth was? Certainly in the 2nd trailer we see Rob trying to reach Beth on the phone at some point, and of course, she is with him in later scenes.

I assume this means either:
1) She never is at the party and her appearance in the teaser now represents an error resulting from rewrites or editing, or

2) She leaves the party early (prior to the attack) for some reason.

I'm assuming it's more #2. This probably isn't anything earthshaking, but it's just another thing I noticed.

i think the negativity went to sleep with everyone last night around 2am. its been really good the last hour were making progress and getting along great.

K so far the intelligence of Mr. Grumpy pants is disputed... If in fact there is laughter after the ROAR, to me that would denote intelligence... which is the creepiest part...

I think the fact Beth isn't at the party is an important keypoint of the story. It seems that the main characters will go to the centre of the city instead to find a way out, and maybe the reason for their behaviour is to save a friend. And that take to another question... way Beth leave the party? she left alone?

 		As for the tanker being large enough to house mr GP. Without any point of referance its hard to judge how large the tanker in the newsclip is, but if it's an ULCC (Ultra Large Crude Carrier) it would be able to move a family of GPs...

The largest ULCC in the world.. the Nock Nevis (formerly Jahre Viking, Happy Giant, Seawise Giant) is 485.46 metres [1,503 feet long] (That's about 60 meter longer than the world tallest skyscraper, the Petrons Tower A in Kuala Lumpur, which is 424 meters tall) Its 67,8meter or 262 feet across, weights in at 260,000 tonnes

I noticed that too.... Beth doesn't appear prominantly in the new clip.

I can't check now, cause I'm supposed to be working Laughing, but I noticed that in the chaos at the bottom of the stairs on the street that it looks like Rob said something about "did you look back" and "blah, blah, blah ... Beth".

Could he be saying "Did you look back and see Beth"? Meaning that she's still in the apartment? That would make sense to me as we know that they get seperated and since they run into the store and she's not there, that could be the time they lose her.

Can anyone read lips and figure out what Rob says then?

Now, this will be a stretch, but what if the monster is a stow-away? That somehow it got on board with the regular cargo, and then had an exponential growth? If the cargo was DSI for instance? (There's simple lifeforms who can eat crude oil as well, mostly bacteria but also forms of worms.) The ship would know something was wrong and might have tried to reach NY as a safe harbour, when the monster breaks free and start having a temper tantrum...

The other option is that Tagruato use the ship w/ monster as some form of trojan horse in a planned attack on NY. Makes the term "biological weapon" gain a new meaning!
