People, I hardly miss "Slusho!"-T-Shirt in this footage. Either its appearance in 1st trailer (or teaser) was only a hint to look for, or...

And to Paramount-People: you do really great thing, I hope it's beginning of new era of entertainment. So thank you.
But: please don't narrow your target group only to US residents, because also many many people from other countries are here. The showing is surely free for everybody, but taking part on your contests is only for US residents, and I know, it's for facilitation of the whole winner procedure (country-specific copy rights at creative contests like "slusho!" and no problem with visa if somebody from overseas win the screening prize at "Cloverfield"-widget etc.).

But you should think global, and you'll get much more audience worldwide.

But thanx for beeing.

EXACTLY !

So if you want to grab it for say Yahoo Widgets, do you need to grab from a secondary party like CameronJr9 for it to count? Otherwise it would appear to be a dead end to grab it directly from CC (no way to share it).

Does anyone have Microsoft Visio so we can draw a map of how this contest works? Laughing

To answer your question: Grab from me (or anyone else that has grabbed from Dennis) and post your version of the widget somewhere. That will give Dennis his full "share."

I am not a lawyer, but here how I think it works:

MrToasty grabs the widget from me, and posts it on his site. Then, someone else has to view my widget on MrToasty site. That counts as ONE "share".

So it doesn't matter how many people grab it, it matters how many people post my widget on theirsite.

I've got that part. My query concerns those that don't have their own site and instead want to grab the Yahoo Widget (which lives on your desktop) or the Google widget (which lives on your personal iGoogle page). If these folks grab it directly from you, then they have no page to post it on and therefore you get no credit for the grab. Instead, these people need to make sure to grab it from someone who grabbed from you first.

Long story short, I guess if people are just seeing this now, grab it from someone above who has posted a link saying they grabbed from CC already?
EDIT: See Dennis's post below - grab it from him.

I'm not quite sure on that Neutral

however, when you say "Grab This Widget", it gives you a bunch of options to post it to:

blogger, facebook, myspace, myyearbook, yahoo, google, live, netvibes, freewebs, xanga, friendster, typepad, pageflakes, and webwag.

The widget will go out and place the widget for you on your site.

i tried that with myspace, each time it said try again later, i thought i had entered my PW wrong (i use firefox's auto fill) but even with the right combo it still said try again, so it might be bogged down for the first day or so

My thoughts exactly. In order to give Dennis full credit, go "Grab" it from me or someone else who's already gotten it from Dennis and then you shouldn't have to post it anywhere. That'll give Dennis the "full share" but not me. No biggie, since I'm hoping to give Dennis all my shares anyway. I think that'll work. I hope.

Jeez, this is weird.

Yeah, thanks. I emailed Paramount to clarify how this works. I'll let you know what they say when I hear back.

UPDATE
: Ok I heard back from Paramount.

ONLY the person who you get the widget from gets credit. So if you get it from CameronJr9, HE gets credit, even though he got it from me. I only would get credit for CameronJr9 getting it from me.

That makes more sense. Otherwise it turns into some crazy pyramid scheme. Updated my post above so as not to add confusion.

Good luck, Dennis!
