So your suggesting the laugh is like the Wilhelm scream and it is used in other movies? I'll have to wait for others to explore that direction more. That is interesting.

On a side note... I came home late tonight and as I was getting out of the car I dropped some presents and made some loud noises. I got really scared when I thought I heard a skyscraper sized monster laughing at me, then I realized it was just my neighbors dog. Whew.

Dog Bark. End of story.

Um no...

Sorry but not "End of story" This is a forum discussion and debate. Some people are hearing a "Dog barking" some are hearing "Laughter" some... Just a "Reverbe" or whatever.

But there is never going to be an "End of story" just because someone in this thread says so; unless J.J himself tells me it's a dog barking - I won't buy it.

It doesn't even sound like a dog barking Rolling Eyes

Someone takes what people say a little too seriously.

And yes it does sound like a darg barking. Rolling Eyes

Also- To add to the barking side of things. I think a monsters laugh would be much LOUDER and a lot LONGER than those three 'quick' 'laughs'.

Its a dog barking...

Besides- a laugh?
I'm sure the writers [and J.J.] would be smart enough to NOT do something as retarded as that.

There's nothing to look into. We should probably forget this thread.

I still think it's Deniro doing the voice for the monster.

I'm inclined to believe that the monster is actual Bowser.

That's what i was thinking, it sounds EXACTLY like bowser's laugh in super mario 64 when mario enters the castle. Which goes along with my theory that this is actually a remake/sequel to the super mario bros. movie Wink

I just wonder if some of those that here a dog, does so because they subliminally don't want a laughting monster?

I just know that if my dog laughted at me like that I'd have him put down! Razz

I know i'm gonna get attacked for reviving this thread, but i've noticed something...

At about 38 seconds into the New Years Eve special preview the same laugh that has been previously discussed can be heard. It is louder and more distinct. It sounds absolutely frightening. I suppose it could even be some kind of atrocious moan too.. Take a listen to it, it's friggin eerie.. 38 seconds, right after the explosion scene on the roof top.

Here is a link to the preview in case you have not seen it..

Oh what have you done!

I hadn't noticed that, but it doesn't sound like the old barking to me, sounds like a grunt.
