NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Sad to see you guys leave
One good thing about staying and just reading selective threads is the fact we are getting to see the backstory emerge. And from Jamies' last vid, it's going to be important. The movie will be so much more of an experience if we care about these characters. If a person can stay away from plot threads that is which would be hard to do.
If any of you are still reading this thread have a happy holiday and talk to you post C-Day.

I'll never stop my spoiler-mongering.
Reading message boards and fan-sites looking for spoilers (real or fake) is almost always better than the movie itself.

Hayley Williams, who's the lead singer of this band called Paramore! She's an amazing singer and she's only 17 years old.

OMG, e2c, you gotta watch what ya say(if your over 18 and living here in the states).
EDIT: Well, my blackout will now officially have to begin also. I refused to read the interviews, but in the "will there be toys" thread i read that we will see the monster, and in great detail.
Now every thread will be tainted. Ill check in to see if there are any updates on jaime and teddy, and the slusho contest, but im done posting. Thanks unFiction

Can't say I blame you buddy. I like most everyone here am interested in this film. But at some point we all have to, for the integrity of the whole experience draw a line in which we collectively won't cross.
There are some among us who want everything spelled out for them, and want to know the premise, which frames what happens, what the monster looks like, it's too much. I've been on this ride, mostly casually observing for the most part for going on 6 months. To have all that ruined in a matter of a few keystrokes would be maddening. Especially this close.
Is it the society we live in or what is it that everything has to be here and now and all spelled out with a neat little bow on it leaving us to do no work at all? The anticipation of this film has been one of the few real highlights as far as entertainment goes this year.
Pretty soon. I suspect a somewhat bittersweet rush of having lots of people join in on it. Bittersweet because up til now it's been mainly our little secret. The devoted fans who have tracked this thing relentlessly and wanting it to be a successful film means the masses will consume it whole after the 18th.
I just want that feeling of completion, good bad, or indifferent after seeing this thing. And I don't want that ruined in the haste of overexuberance before the masses come and take it away.

Heh.
You know how many times I've said that to myself... and posted it in threads? lol!
Yet, some strange unseen power keeps drawing me back. A media blackout on Cloverfield for me has proven to be more difficult than quitting smoking!
But good luck and hope you all coma back soon!

I really hate to see you guys go. Bummer...
As for me, I am staying. Even if "secret" information is revealed by Mr. Abrams himself, I will take everything I hear about this movie with a grain of salt until I see it in theaters.
Trust no one, uF members !!!

Regarding the online stuff you posted: yeah, we're doing some fun stuff on the web. But, obviously, if the movie doesn't kick some massive ASS, who gives a rat's about what's online? So as you can imagine, we're focusing mostly on THAT," Abrams wrote. "For what it's worth, the only site of ours that people have even FOUND is the 1-18-08.com site. The others (like the Ethan Haas sites) have nothing to do with us.
