[SPEC] Nature of the Monster - mutated people

I think it is a collective of human beings mutated by the slusho "secret ingredient" which is taken from the ocean depths and processed into a mutating chemical.

You are infected or mutated into something that is an individual creature, but also something that can form collectively into the larger creature.

That's why it's difficult to kill. When shooting at it, you're destroying small pieces of the collective but never the entire creature. Since people in NYC are plentiful, there's plenty of fuel to add to the collective and keep the monster growing and sustaining itself.

The creature meets its doom with a nuke in central park because in the middle of the park there's no one to feed off of.

FOR WHAT IT"S WORTH. Smile

Hello and welcome! Nice theory, it would make for a great movie IMO. If If I recall correctly it has already been discussed somewhere in here before. Please try to use the search button before you post an idea or theory next time. Some people may be a little direct (rude) in how they tell you this. There are a few grumps and a few trolls but for the most part the people are awesome and this is a great place to get together and discuss Cloverfield. Again, Welcome!

Yes, welcome to the experience flesh sack.

Now, this thread shall be put to rest.

I really don't think I have the 'UnForum authority' to do this. However..

I am but one being, not an amalgamation.
Were I an amalgamation, I'd have already dominated this world and subdued all upon it. Yes, I could even kick Cthulhu's ass if I was an amalgamation of any of those I would consent to be merged with.
*waits for Cthulhu to tear in*

No souls shall be spared, servant. Consider yourself lucky to be consumed first.
As for the non-amalgamic Euchre, he will only become part of me, without consent.

My mind is probably the only one on Earth you should fear. Such a surprise it is to enter a mind you expect to dominate, only to have such a profoundly disturbing experience that you yourself become insane to the point of incapacitation.

Your hubris is a true statement of failure to intimidate.

Your mind was mine before the disturbances, and it was I who set about the events to cause those changes, which are now making you so much more enjoyable to consume.

I'm giving you a distinct flavor.
