First, you need [Trailhead] or [Trailhead?](if your not sure that its a game) in your post title. Second, how did you come upon this? I haven't checked the page yet....and who the heck is Ty? Try explain what ya know first and maybe people will be more intrigued if they find the basic idea interesting....for me it doesn't sound that interesting, mainly becuase the title seems like it will develop into kind of a stupid storyline. But whatever, ARGs are unpredictable...

I asked the guy in the chat window if he wanted to play some video games or ride bikes with me. He said something about how life sucks working for the electric church.

Edit :
Me : Take off your pants
Brother Ajax : I do not understand... but in the course of eternity suspect I will.

This is comedy gold.

Thats kinda of eerie. (If this is a game....i guess)

So this means that he's either an ingame character spreading the word of the game and not breaking TINAG rule. Ooooooor, The Electric Church is a real company/place/job/whatever and we just walked straight into their website...

Edit: saw your edit. This is really weird...

I'm not even sure its an ARG. I think its just shilling a book.

Well, i guess we should keep looking into this. Just in case

Good find if its a game...

Good try if its not. And don't worry....I haven't even found a good ARG to be the first to Trailhead yet!

Hate to say it, but this site has been up in a form similar to this since July 15 2004. Seems to have changed little since June 2006.

Pretty.

I typed "Can You Help?" and I got a window with the guy holding up a sign that said "Get Out Now".

If you click on the book's author, you get his home page and he has a forum started. If this is an ARG, that would be in IG forum.

If this is just to sell books, it's pretty damn elaborate. Very elaborate.

Thanks for surfing here. At least I hope you surfed here on purpose, looking to spend money on my books. If not, how awkward.

I have a few other sites I maintain, which you might be interested in, assuming you a) are here on purpose, as discussed above (the awkward thing) and b) are here because you like me, or at least are neutral towards me in your feelings. If you despise me, this is now becoming almost unbearably awkward.

I've published a zine for many many years, and you can go puzzle over it at www.innerswine.com, if you want.

My latest novel, The Electric Church, has its own web site, which is currently just a splash page but which will become incredibly cool very soon as my corporate masters pour money and cheap oversees coding labor into it. 0100001101101111011001000110010101110011.

I also have a Blog and a Forum set up. The Forum is more an experiment right now to see if people will discuss someone they've never heard of. So far it is going well, and the conclusion appears to be: No.

Thanks again for stopping by. Assuming you're still reading this. If not: Awkward again.

What is the binary? Maybe that is the verification code for the Electric Church (upper right corner)?

Well with the mixture of it being an old site and kona's post, I'd say I really, really freaked out. Might be an old game and the IG Characters and response are automatic. Either way, i was too freaked out from the beginning to visit the site, mainly because if I don't know its a game, it scares the crap outta me.

Sry, double post

Anyways, saw your edit Kona. This might just be an old book ARG. Perhaps it was going to do what "The Genesis Code" Is doing, but failed miserably...?

Hey everyone I think I have something, click on "Dennis Squalor" on the website, there's binary and a set of decoding bases on the left we probably have to use on the green numbers that pop up

someone screenshot the "Dennis Squalor" page when it changes
