Another update on the 151.151 blog:

Quote:
What is this...?

I was down at the bar, when the radio dropped on the floor, twisting the dial further in it should've went. So, because it was my fathers antique radio, I took the rest of the night off, and went home to grumble. But, when I got home, I heard static and whispering on 151.151FM which, is what the dial is stuck at. Then I heard this weird song, sort of like a radio play, but it was the weirdest thing.

EDIT: I think its called "Car Chase Terror!" by M83. I definitely can't sleep at night anymore after listening. I think theres something weird about the song. By the way, whats with this blog? I woke up and found myself here, already logged in. Who's Mike Today, anyway? Name seems familiar...

-Sharon Tomorrow

Sharon Tomorrow?
Share on tomorrow? - First thing that jumped at me

Crazy! That is one of my favorite M83 songs! I love it! It's about this paranoid Mom on the run with her daughter and she thinks a man is chasing her. It's very sad but I love it. That actual music in the song is incredible.
Props to the PM for having good taste in music!!

Also, note the names

"Mike Today"
"Sharon Tomorrow"

I think the 151 blog is a chronicle of who's starting to crumble under the frequency.

That said, is this IG:

?

Also, I find it interesting that numerous different people are posting on the 151 blog. And they were 'already logged in.' Hm...

I was just lurking my way around in this and I noticed Thomas is online and has added a few new songs. M83, Orbital, and Radiohead. (I just noticed on the 151 blog that the chick heard "Car Chase Terror" by M83 and that is the song Thomas added.)

Hmm. Maybe it is IG.

(edit: These additions happened as I was watching so about 10 minutes ago or so.)
(2nd edit: He's now gone. On for about 20-30 minutes, adds 3 songs and logged off.)

My name is Thomas

"After the party, I knew that the frequency was too great for some people. But, their lives were lost, and with me being the only person alive, I had to leave. I was careful not to leave my footprints anywhere or stain my hand, and I ran off, back to my apartment. I dumped the radio and the Frequencizer on the bed, and laid down next to them. Over a dozen people had lost their lives thanks to me. But I didn't tell them to do it! I didn't! I swear! It was the station, it played a song and they all just...
well
died.
But it wasn't me. The station has fluxes in power when I'm not carefully monitoring it. It sometimes chooses a song at random, and the most unexpected results happen. But the second phase of Operation: Waterwings is going beautifully. Shannon and Mike are both submitting to the frequency. Just a few more days, and they'll be consumed entirely."

Oh my, if you don't solve the puzzle, I guess I'll just have to kill Shannon and Mike. A shame, wouldn't it? Them both committing suicide to the same song.

Oh well. You have a 3 days, or the frequency will change. G'luck, puppets.

Yipes.

Well, I assumed the code was binary, so ran it through the decoder and base 64 came up as:

hRAIeEhRAIWEh2iHEAh2iFhIUQCFEAhYSFEWhYSHhIcQCFEWhYSFEAhRAIUG

As he stated, the answer would be a puzzle in itself, so maybe this is the next step, but I don't know what to make of it. I really suck at this code crap lol.
Anyway, if someone sees something in it, maybe you can figure it out. If it's just gibberish then so be it.

Edit: Ran it through ROT and got nothing

More Analysis: I took the decimal version and substituted the numbers for letters so it was a little easier to parse. I also looked at the frequencies of the repeated letters and groups. It does not look like a vigenere (or at least not one with a repeated key, the spaces between the repeated groups don't follow any discernable pattern):

Re-Mapping:
Code:
133 - 7 - M
8   - 5 - C
16  - 5 - D
81  - 5 - G
132 - 4 - L
0   - 3 - A
72  - 3 - F
135 - 3 - N
22  - 2 - E
88  - 2 - H
6   - 1 - B
104 - 1 - I
118 - 1 - J
120 - 1 - K
136 - 1 - O

Applying our new alphabet:
Code:
MDCKFGAMLNINDCJOHFGAMDCHFGEMLNLNDCGEMLMDCGAMB

Repeated Pairs:
Code:
DC - 5
MD - 3
LN - 3
FG - 3
AM - 3
ML - 3
GA - 3
ND - 2

Repeated Triples:
Code:
MDC - 3
GAM - 3
MLN - 2
FGA - 2
HFG - 2
GEM - 2
EML - 2

Feel free to try and grind out the rest, I'll be poking at it as I have spare time.

Come on, puppets, still haven't gotten the code?

I thought more of you. Have you lost interest? Do I need to spice things up for you?

Tell me what you want, puppets!

Go for it. Unless there's a key that I'm missing in that blog posting, I'm fresh out of ideas (and have other projects occupying my time).

Since I'll never be able to figure it out anyway, might's well just do what natas said
