DAMNIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost watched that, but didnt at the last minute. I have been looking all over for it, knew it would start any day now. The funniest thing, i even called the channel that it would first show up on . LOL, But i guess that is kinda obvious, Sci Fi channel of course

Too bad it was just the trailer and not a TV spot.

Wow, this movie is goofy.
I only started watching this piece of crap because I noticed Gigi was in it. I was getting ready to channel surf when the Cloverfield commercial came on. Now I've watched the whole thing, waiting to see if they show something else.
They've ripped off about 5 different sci-fi movies in this thing.
The "hero" alien carries a gun made out of a nerf blaster and a Star Wars General Grievous blaster. He's also wearing an X-Men jacket.
The Bad Alien keeps screaming like a Xenomorph from Aliens, I'm pretty sure its the same sound clip.
And a swat team showed up earlier, amnd a couple of them were wearing BSG body armor!

Everything on SciFi channel is cheesy and rarely entertaining, not counting Doctor Who of course.

Don't forget Battlestar Galactica....easily one of the 10 best shows on TV...unfortunately, the new season doesn't start until March

Don't forget FarScape Let's not forget FarScape!
ANywho, that "Incident at Area 51" or whatever, it to me seems to be the same "production values" as the company that makes ripoffs of films and rushes them to DVD to be released on the same day, or just prior, to the actual film?
Know of whom I speak? They made a "Pirates of the Caribbean" rip-off, I think a "Cloverfield" rip-off is in the making, the guys who filmed "Transmorphers ," if I recall: Asylum

I like a bad sci-fi movie as much as the next guy. In fact, these awful Sci-Fi channel movies are a little guilty pleasure of mine. In the early days of VHS I used to go and rent the worst looking horror movies I could find.
But this one was just really bad, and made little sense. There wasn't even the payoff of seeing Gigi naked!

I didn't realize you meant Gigi Edgley, of Farscape Chiana fame!
Neat. I just like that show tons.
And the film.
And Zann.

Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of Gigi. Found her on Farscape, and have been following her work ever since.
Her, and the Cloverfield Trailer were the only good things about that movie last night!
