Not only was there an invitiation, but a messenger bag, confidentiality agreement, and a cool brown Slusho hat, and a Slusho Thermos.

It's interesting to note that as of August, the name Cloverfield was crossed out as a potential name for the movie, and Monstrous was not on the list.

Also, that Rob AND Beth are going away. Did they hook up, and they are moving to Japan together?

the going away party was for the film wrapping in real time as te date was august 18th and the locale was somewhere in la la land and it said something like "because the monster did something or other"

Rob and Beth, eh? Hmm. Well, things could have changed between the teaser and the final editing. One little change, and boom, Beth is now going with Rob. It would fit in with the significant amount of concern Rob shows regarding Beth's whereabouts and well-being in the 2nd trailer.

I would think that the wrap party is for "Rob" and "Beth" because they are the two main characters (besides Mr. Grumpypants).

Wrap parties seldom have anything to do with the plots and have a LOT to do with inside jokes...

I would read too much into anything you find here - I just thought it was neat to see.

It really sucks that the swag went for so little on ebay - if I'd just searched a little earlier!!!

They've re-filmed the party scene , right? (note the new trailer)

Maybe they've modified the story?
Though the party was supposed to be for both, perhaps some people see Beth as "just his g/f" (minus their mutual friends of course)

For isntance:
More people know Rob, and Beth is merely his g/f to them...
so the party they throw is his, and she is just his tag-along...(in their eyes)
if HUD (or any of the other Slusho 7) set up the party, he knows its for Beth and Rob (as do their mutual friends) but for the other people, maybe they only care about Rob?

SO, maybe it is a going away party for Beth and Rob, but it became focused on Rob only...

(HUD or the other Slusho 7 didnt necessarily make the banner, maybe someone else that only knew Rob made it)
