Re: Theorizing and questions about the new cards

#20 (Racco Mansion). Maybe it's because I have not read the book yet, but I don't understand what Wolf Ram has to do with Tungsten. I probably won't be able to read the book for awhile. I guess I can wait, but if someone who has read the book could just say if it makes sense. When I first saw the card, I thought, "A new branch of the family!"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tungsten according to this Tungsten is also known as wolfram Very Happy and guess what? It's used in lightbulbs and x-ray tubes.

Cora wizzard is Jonah's mom. See card 16 on the webpage. The relationship is also refered to in the audio book.

Alice, read the book. There is something neat at the end that might fit your theory. Wink

I'd wager that most guesses made with the data we have now will be way off in left field once more of the clues are uncovered. It'd be kind of a let down if we could guess the finale with only 4 or 5 clues of 39 uncovered!

My original thought when the elements were being uncovered is that the clue answers would spell something out, and that we'd be using the chemical symbols to do some of that...

For example:

Neon, Tungten Chlorine, Uranium, Einsteinium!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
New Clues!

But, most likely, that's a wacky guess too.

Decoder Tips

Thanks again to everyone who had tips on improving your score on Dogfight. Now, any hot tips on improving your score in Decoder? Are there an tricks to it, or is it just speed? I've managed to crack 17000 a few times, but just barely. I'm a long way from Alice's top score! I have been playing on the 'extreme' difficulty and I suspect there aren't any real tricks, but it never hurts to hear what other's have tried! Thanks for your help!

hmmm...... See the score board?

Has to be another error.

I think luck has a lot to do with decoder....just picking the right color/colors first. I've worked my little finger to the bone on that and barely make 17,000 each time. It's a tough one (but quite addictive, lol). Very Happy

I will tell you how I do it.... I start by putting all the same color in all 4 slots. However many are correct, I keep and move to another color. Very quickly you have all the correct colors, just maybe not in the correct places. Once you know the colors, it usually is very simple (as most of the time there are two or even 3 of the same color and it is just a matter of putting them in the right spot).

Skeet shoot and Dog Fight are what I think are hard. The Decoder and the Chemical game are the easy ones.
