Responding to lots of stuff, my holiday spirit, and the code
i'm haveing trouble keeping up with you all!!

First ; on the topic of my holiday spirit

I'm sorry i was kind of a downer on the cristmas stuff, and you're right, i'm a kid (i am eleigible for the prizes!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy ). i admit that you all have much more experience with this stuff, and the coupon thing is a good idea.

second: my book cover theory

Well, my theory has taken damage but still floating (maybe Sad ) i'll have to wait fro the next book to see if i'm right. (or as you point out, possibly wrong Wink )

Third: Pigpen code

I am a code buff (when i was little i REALLY wanted to be a secret agent Confused ), and i can verify that the pigpen code is very universal, and been around for a long time

Forth: my laptop

I agree with the cookie theory, and i also seem to get better scores on my desktop, however, it is really annoying on games like dogfight to get a good score, and not have it counted.

Fifth: skeet shoot

AKKKKKKKKKKK!! It's happening again!! I hit skeets, and sometimes they don't count!!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Cursing Cursing Cursing

Sixth: the code!!!

Here it is, please enter this in WIKIbruce under the name lunchgeeks 29GTX29JX2

Seventh: FLgata

CONGARATS!!!!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy As i'm sure you know, yuo are the board leader, and i'm trailing you at a measly 47th Laughing Rolling Eyes

Eigth: i agree with snuibi on the madrigal codes thing

Ninth:my fingers hurt, and seventh hour is almost over Sad Sad

Even though I'm a lucian, i'll quote Johna Wizard

GOTTA JET!!!!!! Jetpack

woooooooohoooooo Flaming Nutter

There goes the bell, off to another class. by by study hall!!ARG

You're obviously fairly young, as you'll find as you get older/have kids, etc., that it really is better to give than receive.

However, if you want to keep your money in your pocket, think about giving yourself instead of 'stuff'. Give Mom & Dad a 'coupon' they can redeem to get you to do the dishes, take out the trash, clean the house, etc. Doesn't cost you a dime, but shows you that you love them.
Take the time to make something for them - it'll be infinitely more valuable than something you buy in the store.

I was typing my reply as you put this up. I'll second that!!! I have every Christmas ornament my daughter has made me. Missing glitter and all. She once got a wooden tanagrams puzzle at school from the Santa. Out of the goodness of her heart rewrapped it and gave it to me for christmas. I collect puzzles and she knew that as much as she loved it, I would love it more. Two years ago she went to daddy's office and color printed then laminated an old horse and rider puzzle for me. I was in tears when I opened it. Last year she made me a puzzle of herself. (I could have killed her when I found out she glued her picture on one of my original Rubik's from 25 years ago) But as always, her heart was in the right place and she did give me a gift she knew I would love.

I over heard her and miss Nancy making hugs and Kisses coupons for me for when I am in need of them when I'm crying. That my friends is a priceless Christmas gift. I would rather have all these wonderful things that you might call "junk" than any store bought gift.

screw that I want a blue ray player!!! Twisted Evil

Just jokin I already know my dad and my son got me a digital pic frame and uploaded a bunch of my fav pics Very Happy

so I don't see a discrepancy. Just that the Man in Black has copies of codes from each branch.

YOu are very right and I'm wrong. I have printed out each of the card pages and have them in a folder. As I was flipping through because I knew I had seen them before, I didn't catch the different branch logos on each page. The Janus code is still safe Laughing Laughing

I've been keeping them in a file, but I don't know which belongs to who. The numbers are important not the people Wink To date, there are 50. One of them is from my audio cd. I'm still comfused as to where the extra number came from. I'm sure I must have found it on the web. AOL Video's maybe?

 The Man in Black
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As anyone noticed that on the link in the decoder card, I can't be bothered to look it up, he doesn't have a Tomas code. Maybe, William is a go between for the Holts and the man in black?

Which card are you talking about? And why not go look it up? It doesn't take long to type in a weblink.

I can just see everyone cutting and pasting that long list of numbers to see which one is missing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I don't know if anybody did any research on the sword...it's part of the Gurkha weaponry.
going back and forth on the CD for bits of information is driving me crazy. I'll hand this one over to Alice who has the physical book Razz ( Laughing your turn to do some research)

I was researching the list of family branch members that starts with Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1500 something. He was a big kahuna in China any way, just thought I'd mention we should maybe try to keep an eye on India as that is where we are heading next...And also one more thing...that the metal impurity idea doesn't mean that the metal wasn't used. Remember that tungsten was referred to as Wolfram and was used in making Chinese swords. (I think they came up with the idea of blending metals to make their swords more hardy than the other guys. Tensile strength and the heating up of metals can be an exact science today, but it doesn't mean that maybe somebody say in the 14th century didn't have a knack for it...

I think you have China and Japan mixed up Laughing They ar two different countries you know. Although, the Mainland Chinese government at times seems to think differently Laughing

I'm not very good at Chinese History, but I seem to rremember that they had some kind of exchange with India back in the 1400's or 1500's. I think it was religion though, not trade or conquest. Another thing to look up, but because the sword comes most likely from Japan I'll give it a miss for now. FYI the Ghurkas are mostly from Nepal. From what I've learned living in HK for the past 15 years, they were fierce warriors and hired by the British to protect her colonies. It has been said that they were more fearsome with swords than the British were with rifles. Many of their descendants still live here, most of whom work as bank security guards. Laughing

Tungsten can't be used by itself to make a sword, all the wiki's say it is too brittle, but you are right on the mixing thing. It seems to make the edges sharper. Now my question is, Why is an 11 year old boy brandishing a sharp (probably very sharp if the wikis are anything to go by) sword around.

And Alice, I don't have a spell check when I post. Is there a button I don't see or something I haven't clicked?

Kapow512. I still don't know which card you mean. I've just gone through mine and none of them are called "decoder"

Re: all my codes

Thank you for reposting all the codes Katsmom - I've finally gotten around to putting them into my account! Just a note: 2337NJRRX2 shows up twice on your list. Somehow I went through all 49 different codes you posted and I still only come up with 48 cards in my account, so I must have missed one Sad I don't think I'm going to try typing them all in again! I can't wait to find out exactly what we can use all these codes for! Congrats FLgata - I just can't catch up to your score!

Thanks, I still have 50 in my account, so I'm missing a number somewhere. And why not put them in a second time Laughing it would be great fun to see which one you missed. Like me missing that 7 on the above code!

Just some random thoughts

For anybody who wants to listen to the Mozart Adagio KV 617a (a link to KV 617 was already posted a page back) go here: http://mp3.rhapsody.com/album/classical-moods and play the eighth track.

Anybody else find it strange that Grace had written notes on pages that were supposedly highly protected in the Janus stronghold? It seems as though Grace could have assembled the 39 clues herself since everyone seems to believe that she's right about all 39 clues being there for the taking if the clues are followed properly. I'm just wondering how she can seem to interact with those holding clues (the mission one clue) or get at clues that others have (the missing Nannerl diary pages) and I'd really like to know why she didn't collect them all herself.

The man in black and Mr. McIntyre.....why're they so interested in trailing Amy and Dan and nobody else? And if they're Madrigals, and if Madrigals are supposed to be a shadowy enemy of the Cahills, why aren't they doing anything to Amy and Dan? Everybody seems to think Amy and Dan are the team to beat, so why wouldn't Madrigals go after them? In my mind there's three possibilities, but I'm probably wrong and there's probably more. First is that they're Madrigals, but so are Amy, Dan, and Grace and they're just watching out for their own. Second is that they're Madrigals but that Madrigals aren't evil, just a policing body that keeps the Cahill clan from getting more powerful than they have a right to be. And third is that they aren't Madrigals, but are from Amy and Dan's faction of the family (whatever that may be) or at least told to watch out for Amy and Dan by Grace.

I'm not sure Iron Solute is right. The problem I'm having is that all the pictures and stylized text we've seen in the two books are things that they want us to have a visual of so that we can attempt to solve things before Amy and Dan or at least see why they solved things upon rereading. And the reason that's causing me a problem is that in the Maze of Bones we see that shopping list of items that contains Iron Solute, but the only thing it could possibly be used as pointer for is just to put the words Iron Solute into a little bit more distinct view. The problem with that is they could have done it in the writing easily. Part of me thinks they might do something similar to National Treasure where the clue at the beginning has another use at the end. There's also the phrase "The fine print to guess" only there wasn't really any fine print involved in the solution of that clue....but...there were fine print moments that lead to the solution such as the notes that Hope Cahill wrote in the margins of the Poor Richard's Almanac and the hidden writing they found with the black light. Only, the fine print hasn't stopped yet. Grace's notes on the Nannerl diary pages were fine meaning small as well as fine meaning lightly made. The fine print to guess seems to be carrying on through the contest and I'm wondering how far it will go.

in the wiki bruce, we have the webpage links to card 408 and 412. But not 409 or 417. How did you find these links? is there a parent directory? I'm very confused and want to work out 409 and 417. I have to say it is really bothering me.

Also along these lines, someone was running a program trying to work out the codes for these missing 4 cards. Any luck? Looking at what we have already, they are something like this G69*****9T. I'm lousy at math, but there should be 28 different combinations for each of these *'s. That's way to many combinations for me to attempt to brute force through Laughing

But what if the Madrigals are only a song? I think McIntyre is a watchdog. Grace, who knows, maybe she's a branch to herself. Like the keeper of all secrets and Amy and Dan are next in line for the position since their parents are dead?

Wind Lane, Looking at the wikibruce, I've just noticed that you haven't shared your camera code!! Twisted Evil Hand it over Evil or Very Mad Laughing

You might find someone who will trade with you, but probably no one who will just give you the cards. A search will help you find people who have cards to trade. It will also help you find the extra cards and the camera codes.
