Thanks Guys

I just wanted to say thanks for all the "congratulations" on making first place. It sure wasn't easy, but it was a lot of fun, lol. Skeet Shooter was my favorite because it reminds me of the times my father and I would compete at his gun club back in Ohio. Decoder is driving me crazy! I just can't beat my top score! Because I am a Tomas, I am extremely competitive, but no worries, I am WAY OVER the qualifying age to play and compete for prizes. So all you young ones out there, don't give up. Wink

Now, on to something that is completely irrelevant, but has been gnawing at me since I read OFN.....

TERMITES DO EAT PAPER!!!! Mad
They can digest any cellulose form. As a matter of fact, our famous Statue of Liberty had a subterranean termite problem that was so intense, they had to close the tours down during swarming season. Turns out, the little guys (and gals) were attacking the historical documents. Again, this is not important for our game, but I had to get it off my chest, lol. Just a tad bit of info for all you future entomologists out there. Very Happy

As anyone noticed that on the link in the decoder card, I can't be bothered to look it up, he doesn't have a Tomas code. Maybe, William is a go between for the Holts and the man in black?

kapow512 is referencing http://www.the39clues.com/cahillweb/article/405-surveillance
The page is called "Stolen Archive file 405: Cahill codes intercepted by the Man in Black (discovered by Borders)"
But there are only 3 codes in there: a Janus code, a Lucian code, and a Ekaterina code. There isn't a Tomas code.
Maybe the Tomas don't use codes, or maybe they keep them secret better, or as Kapow512 suggests, maybe the man in black has Tomas connections.

the wiki bruce, we have the webpage links to card 408 and 412. But not 409 or 417. How did you find these links? is there a parent directory? I'm very confused and want to work out 409 and 417. I have to say it is really bothering me.

All the links(except some of the minigames, and card #3) have the same format.
http://www.the39clues.com/cahillweb/article/408-the-spaz
The page is the card #, followed by the title of the page, using dashes for spaces. Sometimes apostrophes are listed as RSQUO (right single quote), sometimes apostrophes are listed as 039.
Using the Photo Credits, we knew the names of the titles (more or less) for several of the 400's. 408 was The Spaz. 412 is The Pit Bull.
So finding the links wasn't too difficult.
409 is "Walmart Card UK" which is probably a mirror of 404 Spy Kit Walmart, (Reason #1 - the Photo Credits are the same with the London reflection in the Thames River. Reason #2 405 Surveillance Borders is a mirror of 411 Spy Photo Borders UK)

I have tried 409-spy-kit, 409-spy-kit, 409-spy-manual, 409-lucian-spy-manual
and all of the above with -uk on the back.

Thank you for reposting all the codes Katsmom - I've finally gotten around to putting them into my account! Just a note: 2337NJRRX2 shows up twice on your list. Somehow I went through all 49 different codes you posted and I still only come up with 48 cards in my account, so I must have missed one Sad I don't think I'm going to try typing them all in again! I can't wait to find out exactly what we can use all these codes for! Congrats FLgata - I just can't catch up to your score!

27XMPMJJX2 was the code on katsmom's list that I didn't have, and wasn't in the wiki.
The wiki and I now have 51

Cheaters

Why are people trying to cheat after what happened to other cheaters? And I think that the people who are cheating are too old to win anything so... why?

It's been a long time!

OMG! I just spent the last 4 hours catching up with the forum, checking references and cards...lots of theories to go through!
I'm a complete 39 Clues addict - I even started up a club at my school and every week we get a new member or two! My biggest draw is that I have an unused Card 60 to give away as a prize...
A few of things I noticed that haven't been mentioned...Cards 8 and 12 both talk about 4 quarters/sections - meaning the 4 branches?
Also, in OFN when Jonah gets his eyes scanned in Disco Volante (I thought it was awesome you guys picked up on it's importance) it stated that Jonah and his mother wer Janus but his father was non-Cahill. But, in MoB, Mr. McIntyre said that everyone in the room during the reading of the will was Cahill - and Jonah's dad was there. A mistake on Korman's part? Does Jonah's mom have it out for his dad? (She did design the security system there and therefore set his dad up to fail - or another thought - he's actually from another branch and it's her way of letting him in on the Janus secrets?) This is really bothering me!
One of my students commented on the colours of the books - he proposes there will be 2 books in each of the four branch colours (2 blue, 2 green, 2 red, 2 yellow) and maybe 2 black. What's odd though is that the MoB wasn't red as it focussed on the Lucians like OFN is green like Janus. Are we reading too much into this?!?

Miss M

P.S. I've convinced them all to give up their surveillance codes in exchange for the codes here. I should have about 20 to post next week! Keep your fingers crossed!

A question and a request

Hey I have a quick question and a request (though it may be in the rules).

Okay the website says there are 5 clues available I have the 2 from the online mission. I know I am missing the two from the books as I only borrowed book one and don't have the second yet. But that leaves me with one clue unaccounted for. Is this tied to a specific card or did I not do something I should have?

And also my request. I'm not sure what the spoiler policy is on the site or for this thread, but would people mind putting plot details for OFN in spoiler boxes? I know I'm not the only one who won't be getting the book until Christmas. I know it's a kids book but I still prefer to read it unspoiled.

Other than that I just bought some cards and I have some observations that I will share later when I am not so sleepy.

I've been keeping them in a file, but I don't know which belongs to who. The numbers are important not the people Wink To date, there are 50. One of them is from my audio cd. I'm still comfused as to where the extra number came from. I'm sure I must have found it on the web. AOL Video's maybe?

There is one duplicate in there and I can add one new code to that list: 24XPF4RGX2

I don't know, but the cheaters may come right at the end, so keep your eyes peeled.
