Re: Who are the Branch Leaders?

aliceinwunderland wrote:
Before I came up with the theory on a different definition of founder, I was thinking that founders might be a term for the Branch leaders. Then I recalled that card #50 (Heinrich Heinrichson) had a puzzle that referred to the Kabras as the Lucian Branch Leaders. That got me to wondering who are the other leaders of the branches. Do we know? I think someone mentioned that Grace was the Cahill branch leader and with her death it would be either Amy or Dan.

I went and looked on the Mission 0 files we saw on each family. Nothing on they Cahill branch but there are these...

Janus Leaders: Kora Wizard, Spencer Lungedoen, Hamila Amadia
Tomas Leader: Ivan Kleister
Ekat Leader: Bae Oh
And the Kabras are confirmed as Lucian Leaders.

I've been thinking--I wonder what caused the family falling out in the first place. Was that why the clues were hidden or was it for safety? If different branches have hidden different clues why are they all looking for all 39?

Perhaps there were actually 5 cahills before thwe family split (depending on the time especially if it was a man they would be called by their last name) plus Kate, Luke, Jane and Thomas which would account for Grace Amy and Dan being of none of the branches.

Hmmm. You are pretty good. Are you a Lucian, though? You misspelled several Janus names. Was that on purpose -- trying to lead me off the trail? Did you think I wouldn't notice? Evil or Very Mad Wink

I thought that we had been given some leadership info, but I forgot to go back to Mission 0. Cursing
So, how do you suppose that the Janus branch is split. We already know that Mrs Wizard is the top Janus in Hollywood and designed the security measures in the Venice HQ. Have we been introduced to the other two at all? That last name Janus sort of sounds like it could be Indian. Perhaps we will run into Hamila at the Taj Mahal.

We haven't met Hamila yet, but Spencer is the answer to card 16 and is also in the link.

Ah. I don't have card #16 yet.

Is this what you were referring to? Yes, when I was reading the 2nd book, I recalled the futurist rendering and figured that what was being described. By rooms, you intend to work out what each of the empty rooms on the sketch should be? I will pass on that. Rolling Eyes

Since you mentioned this card. It is one of the ones that does not fall into the naming convention that someone (sapagoo?) mentioned earlier. I still think that there is something to uncover there. I don't recall Rembrandt being mentioned in 1FN. It seems if he was going to be, this would have been the one he would be mentioned in.

Rembrandt is on page 104 of 1FN. (name-blue highlighter Laughing easy to find)

Like did Alistair's clue really get them anywhere in the right direction?
Sometimes I think that you don't read my posts. Sad

Of course it did. Laughing you've now read OFN. And I always read your posts Alice. In fairness to me, when I was typing all that stuff up yesterday I was doing online listening marking. I was trying to do two things at once, and neither of them was getting done properly.

aliceinwunderland wrote:
That gives me 58. Can anyone tell me if I am caught up or still missing one?

I have 59, but for the life of me I can't find that 59th code. I know I got it online somewhere. I might have it on a postit at work, I'll check when I go back in January.

For some reason, I had it in my mind that Cora Wizard (Jonas' mom) was the current Janus branch leader. Perhaps that's too obvious though.
I think you are getting that thought from card 16. Cora writes to Spencer (?) "As excited as I am about assuming my new role, I do have some doubts" (the rest is bable Alice).

it really calls for a relational database.
A WHAT Shocked I can't even register for the wikibruce, how would I be able to do something if I don't even know what it is? Laughing I agree that a workable data base will be needed. My word files won't cut it once we get upwards of 300 cards. Rolling Eyes Like you, I'm on the back side of 40, and just haven't worked out how to do all this new stuff on the computers yet. Laughing

Jonah's Parents

I just did a double-check on Cora Wizard. According to OFN, Cora is a member of the Janus high council, and therefore, not necessarily the leader. She certainly ranks high though. Jonah's father is Broderick T. Wizard, a non-Cahill with limited Janus authorization. Strange that he'd really get any at all, at least if the branches are serious about security breaches and all. He gets to walk through the Janus' secret base in Italy by just being associated with important Janus members.

Laughing I'm sure he was vetted before he was allowed to marry a high ranking member of hte Janus clan. It is probably safe to assume he isn't associated with anyother branch. Although it would be cool if he were a Lucian and all his texting is sending secrets out to the other branches!

Card Database

HEY! ITS TENNEKRONE TALKING!
I know that I suggested the web thing, but somebody else would have to do it. I mean, this is the closest I've ever gotten to designing a web page and I barely have time for this between music, homeword, reading, and foreign languages. I mean, I have ideas about what we could do, and such, but I wouldn't actually be able to do it myself. Sorry guys.

P.S. If the things that I put at the end of my posts annoy, offend, or disturb you in any way shape or form, please tell me. I will try to write things that don't do what I just mentioned, or I'll stop writing them.
P.P.S. A lot of the time when I try to post it tells me that no post mode was specified. Can anybody help me with this? I've even been forced to revert to guest mode because of this. URGH!

I am among the Fallen. I gaze around and see them all. They gaze back with faces of horror or pain. They glare at me and accuse me of things that I have not done. Horrible things. I am afraid among the fallen.

This happens to me a lot, I have started to copy everything I type and then paste it back when it happens. That saves a lot of time retyping.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. It's true, that Jonah's dad does not belong to any of the four branches but for all you know, he could be a Madrigal.

He could have married Cora Wizard to infiltrate the Janus branch..... Shocked

Isn't that kind of the meaning of my last sentence? I mean if brothers and sisters are of different branches, it would be pretty fair to guess that husband and wife could be too.

.

There are siblings in different branches? (Besides the originals I mean...)

We only know of the original 4 siblings. Isn't that enough to validate my statement?

I just looked up "Der Ort, wo ich geboren war" on page 54 of the book. I come up empty. Does anyone know of a musical database? I was thinking that maybe it might be a clue. I have no idea where else to look though.
