I'm hoping with enough emails they will make it clickable. And I finally got the link.

Gimme a break! First of all, I didn't join until 20 October. I did read through all 24 pages (and I thought that was alot!), but I wouldn't have had a clue about George McClain back then. Plus -- who would have cared that there was no info on George available in the archives?!? We didn't even know what part he played in Mission 1. I have a pretty good handle on the characters now, but in the beginning, I couldn't keep anyone straight. Shocked Laughing Rolling Eyes

BTW, would you like instruction as to how to insert a clickable URL into your post? As far as I know, you just made that up that you posted that on 15 October. Wink

Do you want to take this outside?

I joined Unfiction on 26 June 2007 and began posting under timewasters (Davinci code)! Don't you look at the members list? I notice that you didn't join until 20 October 2008!

And just because YOU didn't have a clue doesn't mean I didn't look at the Cahill Web.

If you look here you will see my post about him. By the way, if you read all 24 pages at that time you would have seen it on page 20

My place or yours Evil or Very Mad Some people!

Hi
I'm new

I'm new, LOVE The 39 Clues. Have both books, lots of cards and solved them all except card #17 E-mail Code which I was just to lazy to solve. Could you tell me it? I read all the posts but this is my first. Fell free to ask me anything. And I have all the clues:
The clues are: IRON SOLUTE, URANIUM, COPPER, TUNGSTEN. (You owe me the answer to card #17!

I'm a Lucian and am eagerly waiting for mission two, plus I have ALMOST all the 400+ cards! My Cahill username is Tonythewang (My cousin's pun of Tony Wang Smile. BTW, I'm only a guest and am addicted to The 39c
Well, kinda a spoiler, you can ask almost ANY question for the answer.

Edit: merged with trailhead - sapagoo

 Starlings branch

I know what branch the starlings are!Very Happy I knew they weren't Tomas because that would be 8 Tomas in the competion.
They couldn't be Lucian because that would be 3 Lucian teams. That leaves only Ekaterina or Janus.
Here's what I used to help make my conclusion.

1. Sinead Starling runs a movie reveiw website.
2. The Starlings once built a boat to sail across the Carribean to explore a hidden island.

They wouldn't need to explore it if it was their base! the conclusion is that they MUST be Janus. Idea

We have documented all the shareable codes on the wiki http://various.wikibruce.com/39#Special_cards

In addition, torchick163 gave us her surveillance code in a youtube comment. 22ch44mgx2

39 Clues appeals to me primarily because there's so much content available: the sort of games I enjoy are "stories and mysteries that go on forever", not necessarily "puzzle, plot, puzzle, plot, puzzle, plot" games (which most homebrew ARGs nowadays are, lamely). I spent most of this weekend updating the wiki based on the data shown in Mission 0, which ended up being an awful lot. I haven't read Book 1 yet, completed Mission 1 yet, or even read the rest of the archives online. I'll get to them all eventually, of course, and will continue to update the wiki as anally as possible.

Stuff I've been working on include:

 • Registration questionnaire: If you'd like to be assigned to a specific branch, or want to create an account for all four, I've mapped out which answers you'll need to choose for any particular branch. My primary account on the site is "Morbus", an Ekaterina (truthfully answered).

 • Timeline: I'm taking a more anal approach to the timeline, jotting down every date shown anywhere, including in-game events for real-life people (Oakley, Pierre, Lufbery, etc.). For dates that are unknown, I'll keep them in the general proximity of known events (the exact date of Dan and Amy's trip in MOB chapter 2 is unknown, but we know it's after the 17th (when Grace dies) and before the 21st (when Alistair Oh files his funeral report). Ideally, with a game that lasts 2 years, we just don't know what facts are important, right now, so I'm recording them all.

 • Characters: I've also fleshed out the Characters page a bit more, recording every in-game, or unknown, name and organization and their citation (I have no intention of adding any "facts" to the wiki without a clear reference to the source material). Again, this is only from data present in the Mission 0 files, so they'll be plenty more as I start going through the cards, reading the web archives, finishing Book 1 and 2, etc., etc. I'm definitely behind on things, but I merely started this Friday. With that said, I have read all Unfiction posts relating to 39C. Painful ;)

As time goes on, I'd like to scan larger images of each card and get them up there too. The ones the site provides are just unreadable for the smaller text (excepting the ones you can print out as puzzles, of course). With that said, for the virtual #400 cards: does anyone have larger versions of all of them? I only have clear PDFs of two of them. Same with scans for the other physical #400 cards, of which I have none.

Some general comments on previous threads:

 • Timed questions for certain countries: there's nothing truly mysterious about this, and you won't see them if you log in as someone from that country. Some countries have very strict laws regarding contests, some even go so far as treating them as gambling. As such, these countries require some amount of "skill" to win a contest - I've seen contests where Canadian residents are required to answer a math problem (literally, "2 + 2 = ?") to collect their prize. The timed questions for those countries are probably similar in style ("who is Amy and Dan's grandmother?"), etc.

 • "Ownership of theories": While I heartily believe that attribution is important, please be careful with getting righteous about who "owns" a theory. We're all in this together, as a community, and I bet more than half the people playing the game on Unfiction are probably ineligible to win anything. Don't hesitate to pitch theories, certainly, but don't get uppity if someone happens to come up with the same theory in their own way. Lamenting that "that's my theory! I said it first!" is petty. If you simply must thwack someone, just trout them with a "please search". Lord knows that people in this thread are an expert at doing that.

 • "Trusting" the wiki: Finally, if you don't "trust" the wiki, then you're trusting your own laziness. Everyone can edit the wiki. If you see a mistake, it's your fault for not correcting it. It's one thing to be an asshat and add a mistake deliberately: it's quite another to recognize a mistake and do nothing about it. The wiki is not in-game and nor is this thread. Serious roleplaying of your branch (spreading misinformation, etc., etc.) is detrimental to everyone's enjoyment. Thankfully, no one's done that yet.

 • I've started #39clues on irc.chat-solutions.org. Reach it via your IRC client, IRCAtWork.com, or Mibbit.com.

Ayup.

Welcome! Thanks for the code. Thanks for the wiki work. Thanks for the IRC channel. Thanks for all of the above.
If people are unfamiliar with IRC, try the unfiction IRC applet at http://www.unfiction.com/chat/
Jpilot usually asks for permissions, but after you hit OK on that, just replace "lurker" with your username, change the channel from "#unfiction" to "#39clues", and then press the green arrow/yellow circle CONNECT icon at the bottom. If you want to upgrade your IRC interface later, we can help here or we can make suggestions in the chat room.
