Cards to swap....

Thanks to Maggie, I am now only missing: 31, 54 and 67 although the game seems to think I am short 11 cards. Also I only have an electronic copy of #52.

Speculating wildly, I would guess that the 12 cards in Books #2 and #3 do not count and so that means I should be also looking for: #400, #401, #402, #403, #408, #409, #411, #412 (eight extra cards).

I have tried in Sydney at Borders (x2), Angus & Robertson (x2), Dymocks (x2) and nobody has the "bonus cards". One fellow said: "Oh we chucked them out because we didn't know people would want them".

Anyway, if you have 21, 52, 54, or 67 and would like any of my spares, email me and we can work something out. My current spares are: 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 (x3), 23, 24, 29 (x2), 41, 44, 46, 47, 49, 41, 59, 61 (x2), 65, 66, 70 (x4), 71 (x3), 73.

Have you got any cards to swap? What I did last time was to send the codes electronically and then send the physical cards in the mail. That means you can have the codes straight away. If you hang on a few days until Maggie gets her physical cards, then she could tell you if the system worked ok for her.....

Oh yeah, I am not interested in *selling* cards - just swapping them is good enough for me Smile

Mailed request for card codes

Solve card 3 (one of the 6 cards that came with the book)

Sad

Bummer. I still don't have the 6 cards. After reading a library copy of Maze of Bones, I've decided that I will continue to borrow the next 9 books from my local library while getting the digital cards from Scholastic. I have sent a mail-in entry to Scholastic but I'm still waiting for them to send me the code(s). I eagerly check the mail everyday but so far nothing. Sad Is anyone else doing this too (i.e., mailing SASE to Scholastic for digitized cards instead of spending $$ on the book and/or card pack)? I'm just curious to see if anyone has received anything yet so that (1) I know it works and (2) I can stop feeling so anxious.

LOL. This whole 39 clues thing makes me anxious. Very Happy

I mailed in a request on September 13th and have not received any card codes as of yet.

Catacombs Card

I've just been on the site, looking at the Catacombs card (#3, comes with book).

The description has changed!!!

Don't read this if you haven't read the book yet.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As you know, Benjamin Franklin hid a vial in the St-Pierre de Montmarte church in Paris. What you don't know is that he also hid another Clue in another part of the Catacombs. The maze above shows exactly where Franklin's Clue is hidden.

I think that's just a re-wording to clarify that that in the book, they found a clue, but by solving the card online, we also get a clue... I don't think that means there's another clue to find yet.

Change to card

The catacombs card you to say "Solved"
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(the answer was Paris)
but now it says "Urgent. Visit My Clues and click on the glowing box to pick up Benjamin Franklin's clue". The only glowing box is the
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'Resolution = Iron Solute'
which has been there all along. Also the answer is not in the code book - was it before? My code book has 10 answers (2 for each branch and 2 for Cahill). I thought there was an extra one at the start for this card but maybe I am confused about that.

Did anyone else pick up the branch for Paul Robeson?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Madrigal.

The family has been looking up all the mentioned people and putting them into a genealogy program so we can map the different branches. Lots of the people mentioned are real and the stories match (like Paul Robeson having his passport taken away).
